I knew Bennett would bring something special to the Dragons, but I never thought I'd see the team playing so well, with no super star egos (bar Wendell), just solid footy.
My hope was to get into the 8 and play well all year, but I had no expectations.

Expectation is the mother of disappointment.

greater than I expected.

Been pretty happy with our results against the top teams.

hoping to finish in the top 6 now though (Knights).

About what I expected but without so many 40 point smashings. Bit worried its only gunna go further down hill.

In terms of the season I expect an up and down year as always just scraping into the top8 and getting smashed in the first finals game.

Wendell's not even a superstar ego, he's just a true character tbh.

Below par on the field. Thought Anderson would have improved discipline and therefore performance, but not to be. Pleased with Hayne's development, not so much Inu's.

Off field, stoked. Pricey's back. Fitzy's gone. Ozzy is talking the talk - good times ahead!

We're doing ok to be in the top 8 I suppose. If we miss out once again I'll be disappointed but a shocking injury toll hasn't helped. We were being tipped as wooden spooners by alot of people so we've shown those people up. The key to a competitive season so far has been the signing of Luke Walsh giving us a genuine halfback and playing with greater heart and for the 80 minutes, unlike in recent seasons. Lack of depth is a big problem and doesn't seem to be rectified for next year which continues to annoy penrith fans. To be honest if we finish 8th and even if we get knocked out first week, i'll be happy, considering injuries and thinness of squad. If we miss out then we can blame injuries or Elliot, lol.

To say the Sharks season has failed to meet expectations is putting it very mildly. Some good young talent has stepped up which bodes well for the future, but other than that it's been worst case scenario stuff.

Exceeded, I thought we'd be a fringe top 4 side, but more realistically in the bottom half of the 8. I never we'd be anywhere near as consistent as we have been.

Yeah failed at this stage but a lot of positives come out of it just the same

New Board , New CEO , Sticky staying with us for the longer term plus some pretty useful looking signings for next year ,some young uns being blooded plus the development of potentially the two best props in the game - things are on the up

I expected the boys to play with better consistency and improve on last years placing. Aside from a couple of shock losses they have meet my expectations well

Onfield performances... i suppose they have been met so far. Although if we have miss the top 8 then we have failed. Definitely haven't been exceeded though.

Off the field... MASSIVE FAILURE. Re-signing a terrible coach, losing all of our best off contract players, signing reject players like David Simmons and targetting other rejects etc. We're absolutely f*cked for next year. Probably also for the year after considering we're still going to have Matt Elliott.

I'll admit he hasn't been as bad this year as the previous two years, but he is still far from a great coach. With the juniors we have injuries shouldn't have any effect at all on us. But we have so many players struggling to make the step up to first grade, ontop of others who are just not motivated. Then we have blokes who haven't even been given a chance.

Definitely exceeded - I thought Bennett would get us all pulling in one direction and being competitive enough to crack the top 4 by the end of the year, but not in my wildest dreams did I expect him to be able to turn us into pace-setters so quickly. I think we've been helped by the competition being weaker overall, but there is no way Brown would have had us with 13 wins and 4 narrow losses at this stage of the season.
