My Eagles have been thrown curve ball after curve ball, both self inflicted, and inflicted upon us. Examples:-

Brett Stewart incident
Anthony Watmough incident
Grant Mayer incident
Ongoing issue with the bias Federal Govt. only providing funds to marginal seats

then we had:-

Titans game referee decision that Preston himself thought was wrong

then:-
Heath Le'Strange
Glenn Hall
Jared Weara-Hargraves
Adam Cuthbertson

all sign elsewhere due to cap issues (we seem to lose plenty of players every year), and we end up with suspensions and long injuries to:-
Shane Rodney
Steve Matai
Brett Stewart
Heath Le'Strange
Michael Bani

and we have some players really down on form in:-
Brent Kite (probably due to family issues, so understandable)
Glenn Stewart

Then we have players who are just plain busts in
Tony Williams
Chris Bailey to a lesser extent

Players who are avoiding signing with us in
Joe Gulovou

Ongoing contract issues with
Ox
D Williams
M Robertson

etc etc.

All things in perspective - we are in the top 8, and will only get better. Therefore, DESPITE everything, Manly's grit, determination, heart and passion will win through, and I'm hoping back to back premierships are not out of the question.

I'm still very very excited about what your 1/2 back can become in Herbert. I say this as a Manly fan without bias, I think he has more potential than Pearce, Carney, Wallace and co.

I expected us (Cowboys) to show improvement but be pretty inconsistent and finish from 7th-10th.

I think that'll be accurate, unless we find some consistency in the last few games and finish a bit higher.
