Also, the scores would have been 11-9 if the Crow kicked the goal, and the replay was 22-0.
I was at both of them.

I am shattered, i would still be crying if it could be!

I am proud of everything we acheived up until Sunday, it was a great season and i have to say the best moment was beating the Bulldogs, although it was a little soured that the Tigers flogged them the week after, it was still a great win and i will never forget before the match talking to one of the other season ticket holders talking about how sick we felt with nerves that even though they were understrengthed we still were worried........then to come out and do what we did was awesome, just one of the many hightlights but it was definately my fav!!!

Can't wait till next year, i just hope that they can over come Sunday, i think that will really be stuck in their minds, i hope they use it as a positive, i hope it drives them all year, maybe the date carved into the wall "25-09-2005" to remind them all of what is not acceptable! GO EELS!!!

BTW the season is not over for us, i will be there on Sunday cheering for our other boys proudly, win or lose!!!

People keep saying that the loss will have a poor physiological affect on the team, I seriously doubt this.
Look at the players we have, Tahu, Hindy, Morrison, Riddell…. all the type of players that will do anything in there power to be the best, and after getting humiliated like they did, they will be out next year with a point to prove!
I say watch out NRL next year; our boys are going to be angry and hungry!

I'm still very very angry. I feel like hitting my beloved eels over the head with a baton. All of them except Tahu, Riddell, Grothe and Hindmarsh.

I couldn't sleep on the Sunday nite after the game but am ok now.

The only thing is that I have no passion to watch GF as there is nothing to look forward to. ( I know the juniors are there but it is not the same).

I hope the cowpats win coz I would hate to see a smug Benji Marshall.

And I think the cowpats will win coz they got flogged by the Tiges a few weeks ago and Parra did not help the tiges in showing up any of the cowpat's deficiencies.

it's tragic tht some noggins can't appreciate the fact that just about the entire league community wrote the eels off after the broncos debacle. to recover to the extent where the minor premiership was achieved is truly a great effort by the coach & players.

for us to recover from a 1-5 start, lose our half-back & leading playmaker, and storm home & gain the "favourites" tag sure makes me proud.

in fact our dissappointment is a direct acknowledgement of just how well we've done.

That's very true.

Considering the disastrous starts to the year both our teams had, they both bounced back well.

Still...

Thanks Gregstar....

I have been saying this since 2001 "I would prefer to loose the week before the GF than get to the GF and loose".. 2001 was absolutely heartbreaking for me, this year I was OK.

Strange, isn't it?

In 1999, I was shattered. In 2000, I was fine. In 2001, I wasn't too bad either.
This year, I have been a blubbering mess.

Go figure?

You see i actually really care who wins the lower grades, i want us to win, i love watching all 3 grades, all year i have cheered them all on so to me they are just as important and i will be shattered if we don't come away with atleast 1 title this weekend.

I don't think we will win Flegg as the Dragons team are just to big and strong (however i haven't written us off yet, we do have a great team), Premmies are our big shot and it is a great test for Taylor, if he wins this that will be a big confidence boost for him.......

I want the Tigers to win the GF, i have had a soft spot for Balmain all my life and it has moved onto the Wests Tigers, i love Hodgo and i really think he deserves a premiership!!!

Same...i wasnt upset that we lost...but just in the way we lost....to get thrashed by a team in which we had em covered in 'form?', player quality and crowd advantage just made it dissapionting....but losing another GF would kill me!
