My old IQ2 was on the blink (usual dead disk) and the little man came out to replace with the newer unit. He mentioned the Internet port is now active and you can download movies over the Internet. I asked about the USB, and he smiled saying its still not enabled (except for power which I use to charge the phone and Ipod stuff).

I think otherwise. I will dig deeper and run a couple little tests I have up my sleeve.

Any Fox/IQ stiories out there from you punters? Has anyone experienced freezing, disk clunks, corruption etc?

How do you generally find your IQs. Foxtel not your level of stupidity.

LOL.

None had it for about 6-7 years now, upgraded to IQ2 now 6 months ago and never a glitch. During EXTREME storms it may have signal stoppages but thats it.

Only negative is their customer service, its terrible and staff have NFI over the phone.

Never had any problems.

My only beef is with the puny hard drive that they put in the bloody things. Needs to be a 1TB drive at least instead of the useless 320GB that they come with.

There are instructions online on swapping out for a larger hard drive... but I'm not that keen on bricking my IQ by mistake

the fact that anytime anything goes wrong with ours we deal with sub contractors who dont give a shit and never actually a foxtel employee is shithouse, but what are ya gonna do. hardly a massive selection for pay tv out there. once had 3 set top boxes relaced inside a 48 hour period

probably doesnt help living in the worst suburbs for any sort of entertainment connection.

As far as I know you just need to run a Cat5 cable from your router to the IQ2 box to access the downloads section of fox on demand.

Anyone have a way to do this with wifi?
