Ok people put all your blames on the players you think wrecked it. I don't think the coach had anything to do with it. Infact, he got us fired in the second half.[/b]

Every player cost us in the 1st half. Brisbane played well and threw it around and the passes stuck but alot of them should have been stopped if the ball was wrapped up in the tackle and stopping offloads.

IMO it is useless blaming anyone, the whole team was responsible and only they can do anything about it.

Right from the kickoff, the gameplan was obvious.....throw the ball around cause Brisbane are gonna leak points. No meticulous, defense style play!

What, we defend well against the Panthers so this week we wont do any defensive training?

Where Parramatta have been succesful in the past against Brisbane is slowing the game down, kicking for touch etc
It seems today for what ever reason they got carried away by the performance of Melb last week and totally went away from a succesful game plan vs Brisbane

Almost every player defended poorly, it was an inept performance. Its a team game so they should all take a look at the team performance and try and string two good performances together two weeks in a row. 2001 seems as long ago as 1979

You have to have the ball to slow down play. Until they win three in a row, I wont be cheering too loud.

Slava, you're about as welcome here as Michael Jackson at a preschool. You have no brains, no knowledge of the game, and probably no testicles. Can we ban him from this forum or what?

This is not a coach bash...

But surely even he knew that the single most dangerous instance of the game was the opening 20 minutes? Surely he would have told the boys to muscle up for the first 20, contain them and then see where that went?

So, yes - the coach is partially to blame too.

Not all his fault, though.

absolutely. the difference between PL and NRL is the pace. The difference between NRL matches and rep matches is the pace. The Broncos have a truckload more rep experience than we do and are used to playing at that pace. Instead of trying to slow it down, we tried to match it. Instead of getting numbers into tackles out wide to slow them up in defence, we had a lot of players left to make one-on-one tackles, almost as if we were accepting that they would make offloads and then try to have troops ready to cover whoever received the offloads.
