Notice how they gave Finch points so as to say he didn't get off scott free, 97 points, 100 gets you a week, how convenient.

Price wasnt too bad though, not much in it. Deserved penalty on field, thats it.

northey - given you are our newly appointed human movement specialist, how is Finch in control of that tackle the whole time? Finch has to move from the original spot because Schifcoske twists and tries to fight his way out of the tackle. The judiciary acknowledged that he lifted - thats why he was found guilty.

there is no conspiracy here...he was found guilty and because he has a good record he didn't get a week off.

Finch pleaded guilty.

ok...make that "thats why he pleaded guilty" then.

either way it certainly isn't the worst tackle i have seen and if Schifcoske didn't fight the tackle he probably wouldn't have landed on his head and there wouldn't have been a problem.

Didnt fight the tackle????????

If you are lifted in a tackle, you look for a soft place to land.
The fact here is that Finch lifted, which is not entirely against the rules, but he lifted in an unsafe manner and Schif ended up on his head. Should have got at least a week IMO. Dissapointed to find out he got 97 points, thats the joke.

Ok I'm getting sick of this twisting story. I have studied the human figure and even if you twist it that doesn't make it go into the air and land on it's head.
of all the crap that some go on with from both sides of the arguement..that right there makes the most sense...right on Bedsy!
A punch withyour eyes closed..can you imagine the uproar at a 15s match if it was allowed to go un noticed....1 week for it.
And finch...piss poor decision and spineless>

if you have a player in mid air, and he is twisting around trying to get out of the tackle, of course you are going to lose control of the tackle. you aren't going to be able to execute the tackle as you intended to.

i'm not suggesting he was "looking for a soft spot for him to land" - thats just f***ing stupid. finch was looking to execute the tackle and it went wrong - but it wasn't all finch's doing. schifcoske has admitted that - why cant you guys accept it?

Price shouldn't have been suspended

Based on past rulings Finch shouldn't have been suspended. He had a clean record which reduced his points. And if they were to be conistant Finchs tackle had to be a Grade 1, no more.

However, dangerous throw penalties should be multiplied by 3, because they are very dangerous. But changing the rule mid-season isn't very fair.

Exactly right Razor, Finch pleaded guilty, the charge was a grade 1, and because of his clean record he got what any player charged with a grade 1 and having a clean record would've got, 97 points. That is the rule as it stands. What causes most argument is the fact that players have thrown worse punches than Price, and places have lifted players worse than Finch (Knights player in the last game) and haven't even conceded a penalty for it. Consistancey is what is required, and as Razor said maybe the grading points for Lifting/Throwing should be more severe.

Finch tackled a bloke, ended up with his hands in between his legs and the player ended up on his head. There isn't anything much more dangerous. I guess if he broke shifcofskies [spelling] kneck [which is always a chance in this kind of tackle], then the judiciary wouldn't have made this poor decision of letting him play next game.

I thought price shouldn't have even faced the judiciary.
