Last year I complained that NSW was so bad, they didn't even have anyone we Qlders could hate or fear really. It's traditional.

In the past we've had the likes of Sironen, Geyer, Blocker, Harrogan, Willie Mason even.
There's no-one like that in the NSW side & hasn't been for a while.


You certainly couldn't put Ennis into that esteemed company; he's more a joke than anything. He isn't there for his playing ability, plenty on this forum have even stated he is there for his ability to 'niggle'. Such a noble thing to look back on when his career ends huh?
Certainly no-one in the Qld team 'fears' him.

i dont think "aggression" is used all that much in the modern game, its too fast and aggression gets you into trouble and making mistakes more than anything else.

players rarely hit each other anymore, they just push and shove, look at old vids where they hated each other and would belt each other, these days its about throwing your arms in the air for a penalty.

i'm not tlaking about king hitting other players when they're not looking, but players dont throw punches cos they get suspended, sin binned etc... plus they all seem to be best friends as soon as the final whistle goes. it was great seeing hindmarsh call ennis a grub cos it's be too PC for too long
