So Which Play Was Worse...

Roopy, your love of comparing first graders football skills to those played in grades way lower is a bit of a stretch mate even for you.

I've seen superstars playing park footy too.
you should start with belittling abuse - it would save you time - because you always get there eventually.

I am by no means on the I hate Dureau bandwagon. But he was sh*t today. And as has been mentioned the kick in question they were READY for and it was first tackle with over a minute on the clock. A couple of minutes earlier Wes makes 70 metres at walking pace...there were metres there to be made, no need to kick.

Well for christs sake mate, your sitting there continually going on about how great players play against the Newtown f*cking reserve grade team and somehow thinking people can apply that to first grade rugby league NRL level.

Its ridiculous.

Just accept from time to time, that the bloke can be bloody ordinary! Its right there in front of our eyes for all to see.

And to other forum members, before everyone here starts going on about ' Karmawave ' on his ' Dureau agenda ', LOOK AROUND YOU, there's a growing number now starting to see the bloke's talent for what it is.

And those numbers are growing week to week. It's no longer the Karma solo show anymore.

 FFS Karma, give it a rest. I've only read two of your posts so I'm assuming the rest are the same inane rubbish. At the end of the day, it's nothing to do with "what was a worst play" or whatever. You blaming Scott for the defeat, is, well, laughable. We didn't lose because HE TRIED TO WIN THE GAME, we lost because we LET BENJI RUN RIOT. End of story.

Well, just goes to show you should read the rest of the posts before going off half COCKED because you've just been made to look like a total goose by the fact I said exactly what you said in another number of posts... Idiot.

" I'm not blaming Momentum Killer for the loss " is right there on the first page...

It was D-U-M-B

Benchwarmer is now known as the Momentum Killer.

He is Orford like in the amount of times he gives possession to the opposition with bad options when the Knights are on the attack with a rush of the blood poor kick.

Even worse than that scrum decision he made, was the chip kick Momentum Killer did into the in goal with the Knights deep on the attack, THAT ACTUALLY WENT OVER THE DEAD BALL LINE ON THE FULL, it was just pathetic.

Whatever, orford gains manly tons of dropouts with his kicking game, he forced the most drop-outs out of any player last season.

Honestly, if you spent half the time coming up with other things to do than names for Scott, and crucifying him at every possible opportunity, you'll be doing very well....Idiot.

Oh right, and how do you explain the growing number of Knights followers who are seeing the limited talent in him and commenting about it on here?

Did I start this thread? Oh. No. I didn't.

Maybe we are all idiots for seeing with our own eyes a halfback who panics and can't play in the NRL unless he only has to catch and pass to Mullen.

Seriously though. Why are we talking about a "which play was worse" scenario? Would you all prefer Scott (who was the only half out there at the time) to tuck the ball under his arm with 60 seconds to go and not try something which may (or in this case, not) come off? The bloke can't win. If he did that, everyone would be blowing up at him not trying something ...

FTR, Rogers last week was far worse.

We have a somewhat inexperienced side and it is apparent when under pressure they have a propensity to make bad decisions. I did not watch the game but reading the posts it seems to me that this side has problems with closing down a game and also has difficulties in making the right decisions when under pressure.

When it's all said and done, however this game was lost because purely and simply we were unable to control the game when we were 14 points up.

Agree, and that coincided with a certain replacement coming on to take control of the game.

Come on mate. You and I both know the reason we lost was because we let Marshall and Farah run riot. Scott's only guilty for 1/17th of that problem ...

Because all those knights’ supporters are 100% correct on their judgment? This thread itself supports what I’m talking about. If Scotty plays anything short of Johns like we crucify him. I'm sure if Mullo was on the field to make that exact play at the very moment it had to be made it would have made little difference.

The play itself should probably have been made when we had them stretched up the middle, but it wasnt exactly awful. We kept the ball, and made some metres.

The Rogers one and this are not even in the same class.

Sneaky has it spot on with his first post in this thread.

Ha! We got 14 points in front today because of Mullen and Rogers. We won the last few weeks on the back of Rogers.

Rogers is miles ahead of Dureau. It isn't even fair to compare. I suspect that Dureau is a bit of a Rudder - has got as far as he has on the back of his half partner. When he is missing - so does he.

No, we got 14 points in front today because of Mullen. Rogers didn't do much from what I saw. The best thing he did was get injured :sarcasm:

Rogers is far better at present. Unfortunately both he and Mullo got hurt today so next week Scottie may have to do it all on his own, which may help prove or disprove some of the theories about his ability.

I don't think he's a bad player for the record. i just thought he was sh*t today.

Does anyone else think (and all you Dureau-haters please take those coloured glasses off for just a second) that this whole chopping and changing of the halves is unsettling for those involved?

Rogers was quite good today. Looks dangerous when he runs it and also supplied the pinpoint kick for Houston's try. Then he got hurt and Scottie came on, we lost all momentum, all direction and on the few times we had any field possesion Scottie let them off the hook with appalling kicks.

In summary, I fail to see how the best thing Rogers did was get hurt. We were well on top until he went off.
