Yep for mine Jeremy Hickmans is crucial to our continuing success. However since he came down with Bennett, I'm just going to guess that he will head back up to Brisbane or Newcastle with him.

I respect Boyd's wishes to play under Bennett, but no one player or coach is bigger than the club. I only want people at the club who generally want to play or coach for us.

He stated that he wont be taking players with him, but I think Boyd is quite certain to follow but it will be odd to see him go back to Brisbane if Bennett goes there. It's hard to say, just hope that Pricey does a good job and continues the legacy Wayne has built here.

If we keep players like Soward, Morris, Nightingale and Stanley as well as our young forwards in Merrin, Prior, Hunt, King and Creagh add a genuine superstar like a Dugan assuming Boyd goes and the likes of Cooper(great club man) retires, I think we can still do some damage. The sad reality is there is only one Wayne Bennett, but life goes on and there's still 2011 with Bennett. Let's hope Pricey can run a good show he's served the best apprenticeship there is.

Strange as this sounds I don't really think the players matter so much. If he takes a few we will replace them with similar standard players. The salary cap is so effective that all teams end up with good playing rosters. It's incredibly even. But there is no salary cap for coaching and admin staff. And that is where losing Bennett will hurt. He is the guru and all the back of house people all add to the experience and culture. Thank God will still have the Big Red V. It was around before Bennett came along and it will still be around when he moves on.

Apart from Bennett obviously losing guys like Hickmans and co. Is the biggest concern IMO, but surely no one can do worse than McGregor SURELY!

Must not skimp on the back room guys that have been a rock for the team the last 2+ seasons... Bennett has made his decision to leave but Saints must do what they can to secure the services of the others to help Price maintain the standards set during the Bennett era.

The consensus is that all those back room people are so vital, I think that Wayne taught us many valuable lessons in professionalism and what it takes behind the scenes to make a top notch footy team. If Hickmans and co do follow Wayne out then surely we must be looking for these type of people to replace them and not the old jobs for the boys culture.

I think Bennett actually ruffled a few feathers up there at the Broncos at one stage where he got rid of some of the club legends in the coaching staff and replaced them with more specialised professional personnel, I remember from memory that a few barbs were thrown his way by some ex players pretty much the first sign of any animosity towards the great man himself.

Our players must be congratulated immensly too, they must have been a pleasure to train as you could see clearly that they gave their heart and soul for the club and for Wayne, I'm sure he would not find a better bunch of players anywhere else. This is a very loyal and proud club and that's what makes us great.

The only guys he brought with him when he came were rejects and guys on their last chance, so I don't think he will poach anyone actively but if a player approaches him asks if he has a place then he might find one. And like someone else said, if you don't want to be here then leave.
