Softest half of Origin I've ever seen.

That was just pathetic from both teams.

A game of chess one might say.

I don't think I've ever seen a softer half of Origin football in a game as important as this in the history of my watching Origin.

Graham Murray - WHERE IS THE f**kING PASSION IN OUR BOYS?????

If they don't come out fired up big time in the second half, I'll be furious.

Talk about passion? The Qld's have it all over us in that department.

FIRE UP YOU BIG BLUE GIRLS. FIRE UP!!

Not much to get excited about in the 1st half
Neither team has had a whole lot of opportunities thus far.

its a shame lyon is a useless piece of sh*t .... him and coops should get the arse for game 3 - they offer nothing

There's a couple of others I could add to that - Kite, Anasta (did he play?), King is a f**king liability and I think our coach has to go as well.

I have never seen such an uninspiring bunch of footballers wear the Blues Jersey ever. I know it works boths ways, players and coaches, but ffs, that is the lamest motivated NSW team I have ever seen.

Couldn't they have at least tried to land one on The Chin's chin?

Does Anasta have a heart beat?
If he ever gets picked again I will boycott the match.
We had no creativity. As good as Buderus is Farah is the better option.
Bird should be lock, Ryan doesn't offer much to me in Origin.
Mason should be running wide
O'Meley should be in the side
Mateo should be picked for game 3, time for new blood. Don't care what the rules say, he should play

There wasn't much in the whole game overall - needed a bit more direction inside the twenty metre zone from NSW - they didn't look like scoring at times.

* Perplexing decision from NSW not to kick for touch after Price stripped the ball.

* Kimmorley had a great game in terms of kicking and his kick chse but inside the 20 - a big fat zero. Didn't get involved enough.

* I don't think there should be wholesale changes outside of probably Lyon and quite possibly White for someone like Farah on the bench.

* The players most under pressure in Hindy and Buderus played themselves to a stand still - Murray again left Hindy on the bench too long and failed with his bench again.

Disgraceful effort by the NSW team tonight. It was embarassing. What a bunch of pussies!!!!!! No mongrel whatsoever. Half the team and coach should be sacked.

What a joke.

They did what they needed to though...... and had more options at times.

at the end of the day the qld backline pisses on what NSW currently has - thats the difference ... thurston and lockyer make enough things happen ..... kimmorley tried hard and stewart played a great debut game, but other than that our backs offered very little (including mr hayne)

Exactly.

Strider, can you please explain to me why we may not have been inspiring tonight, when the whole series rested upon this result for us, and it has been in the papers for the past week that if certain players don't perform their spots will be in jeapordy, and it was quite obvious that we had to muscle up and if we didn't, we'd lose, which we did.
The NSW team looked as though they'd all had a dose of "Panda Pills" before the game.
I mean......WTF?

I can't believe you have said that.

Our forwards were what lost it tonight.

Go back and watch any pick of any other 40 Origin games.

You'll see more passion in the opening minute than we displayed in 80 tonight.

We were as soft as Tontine Pillows.

actually I thought we generally had the better of the field position tonight - which indicates 2 things, a good long kicking game and decent forwards .... but we didn't do anything with it - which is where i think our backs don't do enough ... yeah i'd say our forwards should do better than qld, but they aren't actually a useless pack - price, smith, petro are an international front row ... but yeah we should do better in the forwards

but credit to qld they defended very well

I think NSW had to chance their arm a bit and really put Queensland to the test. Instead both teams seemed to be playing not to lose, and didn't want to do too much with the ball for fear of making a mistake.
The only time the game got exciting was the final two minutes as NSW realised the playing not to lose wasn't going to get it done.
