no he wasn't that good -agreed - all I'm saying is that he was going to take a while to adjust - it's been said before but it's valid - it took Adrian Morley at least a season to come good.

trying to compare NRL and ESL is a waste of time.the difference in the two competitons are worlds apart. while a player may be able to shine in ESL on a regular basis it is a huge step up to the intensity that is required to perform on qa regular basis in NRl. this is shown by how many fringe first graders can leave australia and make comfortable livings in the english comp.

morley has been an exception, but as stated earlier it took him a while to adapt to the game over here. give up on the thoughts of bringing english 'stars' over here...better off searching elsewhere.

Yeah but at least Morley is a forward. I reckon a forward in rugby (either code) has to be in the upper echelons of ftiness.

I think it took Morley a year to adapt because of fitness and the pace of the game.

Of course to Thorman this also applies, but I think in his case the bigger reason was that he just didn't have the killer isntsinct to play First Grade NRL football.
