some advice on domestic violence

hey everyone...

The couple that live behind and to the left of me are always argueing....

i suspect the guy is using violence and hurting his wife/girlfriend. Well i dont suspec ti know for a fact because you can hear the noice of the slapping and the punding on walls and things being broken. Today its been real bad for the past 10 minutes or so she has been screaming "dont hurt me" and "dont kill me" ...

What should i do? i dont know these people at all..ive seen them once or twice and thats all. Should i say something next time i see this coward of a bloke?(and by say something i mean beat his ass) or call the police or what? and if so....is there any way you can talk to them anonymously?

also now im not completely sure of what house it is. There is units and a number of houses bascially wall to wall in that direction....maybe just call them and tell em to come out and have a check.

Call the cops mate, they dont name names, provided its still going they can find out which unit.

Yeah same Copa at the end of the day you want to do the right thing but if you confront him, down the track theres a good chance especially with the guy being a cowardly woman beater you'll end up being knifed in the back.

In the end the woman has to want to press charges- even if you report it (unless of course the police see it)... If she does, an AVO can be arranged over the phone but the problem is she has to be the one to complain, not you.

Call the police or crime stoppers and get them to go around- tell them you suspect that and it is extremely noisy etc, so they can investigate a noise complaint and have warranted means to enter the premises to question them; that they, they can talk to the woman and do their job.
