Some players firing in PL

-Franze looked awesome today, scored two tries including a sensational solo try using a combinaiton of size and speed to beat 4 players to score one. Based on that one performance in PL i'm comfortable saying he should be selected ahead of both Tighe and Carmont next week.

-Uate, apart from a brain snap chip kick with 30 seconds to play, had another blinder scoring a superb try and making a few breaks.

-Snowden was in the mood to hurt people, pulling off some bone rattlers and looks very strong running the ball.

Scotty Duerea was sublime but is a fair way off first grade in terms of size.

Very interesting to hear. I was hoping to drive down but start work in 5 hours so was a bit tough.

With Franze, you mention his try involved "speed", was it a long run, did he have genuine pace to beat outside backs? I'm just a bit surprised, I thought he had lost a lot of speed and that it would really hold him back. But Franze at his best would be great to see.

I wouldn't throw Uate in against Melbourne first up - but he can't be far off boosting our backline with a bit of speed and size.

No, it was scored form 15 metres out, sheer acceleration it was. He didn't really get a chance to show of any speed in the open but he looked zippy out there.

I completely forgot we had Franze and Polglase waiting in the wings when I typed up my side for next week. I'd love to have both of them in there for their first grade experience alone. Tighe and Carmont were shown up last night due to their inexperience, although Carmont has no excuse.

Polglase has to be in the 17 IMO...at least for now. He won't let the team down in the stupid ways that Carmont, Tighe and Thaiday so regularly do.

Franze played exceptionally in PL. And Akookoo (as they were calling him at the ground) definately had a brain snap in the dying seconds. Heart in mouth stuff.
