I am shocked and heartbroken - devastating news. It was never mentioned on the forum but my Uncle and Matt played together in the under 13’s (I think) for Taren Point over 50 years ago.

He loved Rugby League and he especially loved his Cronulla Sutherland Sharks.

Thank you so much for letting us know. I wish Matt’s family and friends all the very best during this incredibly difficult time.

I thought he must have been a League Unlimited shareholder with the number of posts he made.

Wow. Great poster and seemed like a great guy, we messaged a bit and I think he was a nicer dude than he sometimes let on, you just had to get to know him a bit. Certainly a sharp football mind and devoted (though certainly not blinkered) Sharks fan to the end.

A couple of years ago when I was in good shape at all, he reached out.
I am sure wherever you are now you will be watching some form of the Sharks playing.
