I read an article last night where the Frnch coach said that they have had a perect lead up to the RWC and they couldn't be happier with how they're travelling...look out AB's. The French are coming!

Who knows what the French will do. That's why playing them always makes me nervous. We'll either flog them or they'll come out firing.

So reminds me of Mundine and NSW selectors.

Fittler was a better option, just as the 12 for NZ is.

I do not much about union but 12 was good.

The 12 is Ma'a Nonu. He was one of NZ's best on Saturday night. The problem with SBW is that he doesn't know when to get involved or what to do when he doesn't have the ball. He sort of just ambles around and waits for Dan Carter to pass him the ball. Nonu was very busy on Saturday night. He was up in defence and was into all the rucks as well. SBW tends to hang back and seems to think getting in rucks and mauls is something that only forwards do. The Aussie centre, Anthony Faingaa is almost like a 3rd flanker. He hits hard in defence but then is straight to his feet trying to get the ball.

My guess is SBW will get a run against the minnow teams and will probably do well. It's just that he seems to go missing when playing teams with a good defence like Australia.

What was this link/article about? i've tried to look it up and it's saying it no longer exists?
The link worked for me: "Sonny Bill Backtracks" - just the usual posturing preceding contract negotiations.

Sonny Bill Williams has withdrawn his pledge to play rugby in New Zealand next year and says he now won't make a decision on what he will do until after the World Cup.

Williams recently said he would sign a new one-year deal with the New Zealand Rugby Union and play for either the Chiefs or Blues next year. He also said he would look to complete the deal after the Tri-Nations.

But at the New Zealand unveiling of the All Blacks squad in Auckland today, Williams backtracked on his previous comments and said he now would not decide on anything until after the World Cup.

Wasn't it Daley holding him out? Which made the whole "They won't pick an Aboriginal" rather redundant, but he failed to acknowledge that. And Beetson was still an Aus selector I think which counters that side as well.

But on topic, everytime $BW gets interviewed ad lib, he seems so unsure of what to say. If it wasn't for the fact he acted like such a douche before I'd almost feel sorry for him with the way Mundane pulls his strings. He needs to grow a pair & start making decisions about himself, by himself.

I wish I could say i'm surprised to hear that. I agree with all thoughts that this guy is pathetic. A great talent on the field, but pathetic off of it. He is loyal only to himself. I understand that professional athletes have a small window to make their $$$ and set themselves up for life, but there are better ways of going about it. He needs to firstly start thiniking for himself. Once he can do that, he may wake up and realise he needs a new manager and look to surround himself with people who don't look at the world with such a narrow view and 'it's us versus them' mentality.
