and lets forget everything SBW's done in the past few weeks coz Mateo chipped it over the top and set up a try?? wow!!!

SBW grubbered one through a few weeks ago and set up a try...he can do it too. And he basically destroyed the entire Sharks pack single handedly last monday night

Anyone think SBW could do what Mateo did the other night - chip ahead - regather pass to the winger for a try - when behind on the scoreboard?

Sensational stuff. Not saying SBW isn't good - just very different players.

He did the other week.....well not a chip and re-gather but he grubbered through for a try.

Mateo is very good. SBW, when fit, is better at this stage of their careers.

Er...

2004- SBW's return game against the Pamfers, except he regathered and passed to Sherwin who scored under the posts.

I know its the closest thing that I had though to Mateo :( Sherwin chipped, SBW gathered, passed to sherwin, try... and we were 20 in front or something anyways at the time.

However, if you want to see a 100kg+ backrower who can also play in the halves, throw awesome offloads but also quality cut-out passes and crisp flat passes , run 70 or 80 metres to score solo tries, AND chip and regather to score or set-up long distance tries, I give you......

Sione Faumuina

It doesn't mean he's better though...

I'm glad we agree

...but seriously, care to elaborate on why you'd prefer an up and coming fringe-rep standard player over the world's premier back rower?

Well, firstly one of them isn't a sook, isn't managed by a termite and isn't three quarters of the way up himself and doesn't squeal "I'll go to Union" every time he doesn't get his way.

I would have Mateo in a heartbeat over that wanker.

He may be the premier backrower in your books, and a couple of months ago I would have agreed with you, but I'm no fan of his any more.
