I'd punt Lance Thompson (200k) and Shaun "the crab" Timmins (200k) in a heart beat to sign SBW. In fact as much as it hurts to say I actually believe you guys are a deadset chance of signing him, if he does actually decide to leave the Bankstown Cheats.

The Dragqueens interest in SBW is not anything new, Brown and Daley have been fans of SBW for two years and has already tried to get him to join last season.

However let me say, no one will risk talking to him until 30 June. I find it a little suss if SBW loves the dogs sooooo much as he says, then why is he so keen to wait until after the deadline to sort his future............cash and loads of it.

Speaking of young talents, I was talkin to Ashton's Sims' mother 2day where i work, and what i didn't know is that carig Young, as the junior recrutment bloke, wanted to buy Karmichael Hunt as a junior. But the thing is that when he put it to the board, they basically laughed at him and told him that this kid was nothing. Another stuff-up by the One and Only Peter Doust.

  Well done Dousty, You f**kin idiot

I'd punt Gasnier, Timmins and Ryles to make room for Sonny Bill Williams.
you'd weaken three positions, drain depth & squeeze our salary cap for a promising player whose tackling style is going to f*ck his shoulders.
i wouldn't mind SBW but only at a reasonable cost & not at the expense of local juniors

At full strength, Karmichael wouldn't make it in my first-grade side. He's got ptoential only being 17 n ll & he's got a good one-on-one step, but other than that I don't rate him much at all

I agree gregstar, there is no use in trading 3 solid (could be brilliant barring injuries), local players for one could-be superstar. Sure SBW puts on a few shoulder charges and does the odd big run but what happens when he gets injured and we have let half our team go to sign him. Last time I checked League was a TEAM game and you don't win comps with a couple of big names and some cheapo players filling in the gaps.

Look what happened when the Roosters bought Freddy, it took them almost 10 years to win a premiership with him and he is a creative player who is also a team leader, SBW is just a glorified grunt.

I would punt Gasnier and Timmins. I am a big fan of both players but if you have the option to trade up then you got to consider it. We have alot of depth in the backline anyway ontop of the fact the Gasnier has tried to leave the club on 2 or 3 occasions already.

There's only one side in the comp that can keep all there players on big $ and buy more players like SBW and stay under the cap and it is .........................The Roosters. :)

Gasnier and Ryles never play anyway and we have enough depth and potential to Cover them...Timmins wont be around too much longer anyway and SBW would be his replacement at Lock.

Years ago Saints were in the market for a dynamic ball playing forward. Everyone thought it was going to be Mario Fenech. It turned out to be Bronko D'Jurra...

Don't get your hopes up people...

I heard we would be going all out to sign Ashley Harrison for 2006...
