unfortunately i have to agree with Dutchy and when you look at it, tony Williams had clearly made the right career move.

I've seen players of the calaber of Dave Williams, Jack Afamasaga, Michael Robertson, Mark Bryant and Josh Perry who, at worst, have turned into solid first graders through their system thanks to their coaching staff and training system at Narrabeen.

the kid needs a decent coach and i for one won't be ruling out the fact that he'll be a much better player by March next year.

I don't think he'll be a high work rate player. I do think he'll be a great player running on the fringes much like Menzies did early in his career. Going to a club who boast players like Watmough, Kite, Perry and Glenn Stewart he won't need to make a lot of tackles.

Seriously, the kid is 20 making 130 metres on average per game while playing out of his preferred position. He also averages about 15 hitups per match - stats that would beat out 90 per cent of wingers in the country. That $200k will be maximum consideration with Manly and if he does enough to reach that he'll be worth every cent for his impact value.

He will make a decent 2nd rower if players run straight at him. If players run to his left or right he will just watch them go by. The bloke is a fair dinkum lamp post who apart from one bumping run in his debut has contributed NOTHING to our side at all.

He even let Manu score 3 on him. fmd:roll:

lol Manly. :lol: I am sorry but Tony Willams is a massive disappointment - a dud. He has size but nothing else.

I am stuffed if I can see how he offers the side more than Grothe. Williams may potentially cost us as many tries as Eric did.
