Also, STP with Chester Bennington is NOT STP! Surely Eric and the DeLeo Brothers aren't that hard up for cash!?

As a massive fan of Avenged Sevenfold, I'm pretty stoked to see them headlining. Not so much that they're opening for Green Day, should be the other way around IMO. What's worse is that it's apparently a 2.5 hour set.

Looks like I'll be camped out in the Metal stage this year.
Hopefully the metal acts get a decent time on stage. A few should get an hour at least.

I can't stand A7X. The vocals make me want to vomit he is that bad a singer.

The lineup is pretty good for a first announcement. There is no point comparing it to this years Soundwave.

I love trivium so they have sold me a ticket straight up.
Korn, devildriver, ill niño, August burns red..

Don't forget there will probably be another 30 odd bands to be added

I was hoping Soundwave would be an improvement on BDO, a little disappointed but i'll still probably go.

Pearl Jam are the only artists I'd go to BDO to see. I went a few years ago and I can't see myself going again, absolute morons in the crowd. A lot of arrogant and inconsiderate pricks, well, at least from my experience. Same with Future although the over priced alcohol makes that easier.

I do hope the next announcement has a solid 3rd headline act. Also got my fingers crossed for A Day To Remember if they actually get Common Courtesy out.

I'm over green day now. I liked them back in my teen years and saw them on the american idiot tour. Very good live. I think people will be surprised by their live show if they even catch 15mins of it

This is the first year I've been keen on more smaller bands than the larger ones

Apparently the 3rd headliner will be announced in the next lot

I'm hearing bloodhound gang will be on it

AFI and August Burns Red is enough to get me there. Hoping for Protest The Hero in one of the other announcements. There's one for Warped and probably two for SW so fingers crossed. They have an album out in October so the timing works.

I think there's another ~20 bands to come based on what AJ's said re: number of bands, but a bunch of them will be Japanese bands.

Yeah I'm not much of a fan of them nowadays, don't mind listening to them here and there but I am looking forward to them perform, especially if they play Dookie in full. Compensates for the length of their set.

The Japanese stage will certainly something to check out. Especially if they do it up in the style.

Would be awesome if they could snag Gojira. I'd get a ticket if they were added.

So far, the Soundwave crowds have been awesome because the people that go are genuine music fans who are there to catch the bands they love.

Last couple of years has seen the steady influx of poseur festival beerhunters and their boyfriends though, thanks to headlining acts like Green Day.

good enough for me, love Rob Zombie and a few others I've already seen but worth the ticket price to watch them again
