That more than pays for my tickets. Day 2 is looking pretty light so far though, hopefully the second announcement fixes that.

Last year still had Alice in chains, alter bridge, mastodon, Dillinger escape plan, Korn, testament, letlive.

Next years is the worst line up ever, by some margin.

I cant decide whether to go.

On the one hand I know I can scrape together a passable 2 days even though there's only one band I really want to see that isn't a repeat for me.

On the other, I'm still pissed off about the direction it's heading and legitimately want it to bomb.

It's not really heading in a direction yet as it's one festival and may pull a stronger line up in 2016.


I just hope Soundwave isn't now used to fill the BDO void.

The problem I'm having is that this would be a good line-up for me if it was just a 1 day thing and sets were shorter. Having 2 days and 90 minute sets would be brutal when I'm not really into any of the bands enough to want to watch them for that long. But it's Soundwave and I go every year. Ugh.

Lagwagon is my favourite band and the lineup still suckes balls for punk fans. If Rise Against and Against Me! are added like the rumours say then it's still only ok

Yep, it needs to improve dramatically. My sister is in a bit of a bind, she hates sw and refuses to go, but her fave band is Lagwagon.

I think I'll go just for Lagwagon & Aquabats.

Pretty sure all the big announcements are already done and dusted. There are no more headliners to be announced. The biggest rumoured band would be machine head or rise against.

But a festival isn't just about headliners. Generally the bands I'm most excited about seeing are mid-bill- for example Ministry, Godflesh and Mayhem this time round, Ministry will get a pretty prime spot but won't be headlining while the other two will probably be playing on one of the smaller stages. And they'll need to announce a fair few more names to make up a full two day bill.

This will be my 4th Soundwave and probably the weakest Soundwave I have been too. Still enough bands to keep me entertained for 2 days though.
