Soundwave 2015

Pretty much confirms that killer be killed will play jump da f**k up with Corey Taylor.

Max said that they will play songs off their debut album plus a few surprises. This could mean nothing else.

If you could pick the cream from the 2 days and put them into one you would probably have a solid enough lineup.

As it stands though neither day individually screams to me worth going to and most definitely not worth wasting a weekend and 180 bucks

Every band I saw absolutely killed it.

Stand out for me

Killer be killed - they had only rehearsed 4 times prior to Soundwave but their presence on stage was that of a band that has been touring for decades. Which all the members have with their own bands. Just an amazing show

Crossfaith - super high energy, a definite must see band. I had a stack in the wall of death and lost my shoe, managed to get the regather before it was thrown into the abyss.

Butcher babies - bewbs. But they actually suprised me with their stage presence it was clear that the majority of the crowd weren't too familiar with them but by the end of it everyone was getting amongst it.

Slipknot - greatest band of all time. Words can not describe how good they were. Anyone who decided to see the smashing pumpkins over slipknot is missing out big time.

Sadly day 2 will be a massive let down as there is no beating what I witnessed today. 10/10 as far as soundwaves go.

I saw the pumpkins instead. Seen slipknot twice before, never seen SP. Didn't regret my decision.

Saw incubus, fear factory and lamb of god today. All great shows but lamb of god was one of the most epic mosh pits I have ever been in. Absolute insanity. I woulda ran a few kms just in their circle pits they were that big.

Day 1
Gerard Way - Shit (waiting for Steel Panther)
Steel Panther - Always good
Antimasque - Really enjoyed them
Incubus - Meh, Their hits were good but overall not the best
Soundgarden - Good, not as good as their BDO tour but still a solid set
Faith No More - Awesome, seemed a little rushed but awesome all the same

Day 2
Lagwagon - First time i've seen them and loved every second
The Vandals - Much better on a smaller stage than last time on the main stage. So much fun
Millencolin - Seen these guys almost every time they have been out here since 2003 and seriously never regret it. Such an awesome setlist too
Papa roach - caught 10 mins of their set, played last resort 15 year old me was happy. Thats about it
Marilyn Manson - Good, but kept disappearing to put more face paint on got a bit tired of him but the songs i knew were good.
Slash - Myles Kennedy has some pipes! Such a good band, played some good GnR songs, Night Train was awesome
Slipknot - Band of the weekend, 3rd time seeing them, never fail to impress me.

Over all a good 2 days, enjoyed less crowds as it was spread over the 2

i saw SP a few years back when they came out for the old V fest and they were terrible. But ever since everyone who has seen them has said they were great. I'll try catch them next time

Yeah I also saw SP a number of years ago and queens of the Stone Age supported. Queens were awesome, SP not so much.

It's not even the SP. It's Billy Corgan and a touring band really. It's not the Pumpkin's without Iha, Wretzy and Chamberlain.

Slipknot, Soundgarden, Millencolin, Faith No More were my picks.

Incubus were dross last night.

Watched Antemasque instead. They were decent, didn't really know any of their new non Mars Volta ATDI stuff to really enjoy it too much but they were ok.

Mayhem were mind blowing on Saturday. Best set of the festival.

Les Butcherettes and Faith No More were great yesterday.

Always love this time of year went to the Slash & Soundgarden sidewaves both were very, very good!

As for Soundwave I saw;

Steel Panther: I don't get the hype to be honest I thought they were horrible.

Antemasque: Really bad IMO!

Incubus: Always been a fan but as a live band I find them to kinda boring.

Soundgarden: I'm bias when it comes to music and I don't care this was no exception they were awesome!

Faith No More: Just awesome! The best band on Day 1!

Lagwagon: Wow, they were so good always fun and I can not get over what a monster there lead guitarist is.

Tonite Alive: I dunno they seemed okay but all that hippy peace talk was kinda annoying I did enjoy there RATM covers though.

All time Low: Seeing them was my All Time Low horrible thankfully there set was shortened although I will give props to the lead singer for comming and doing a few songs when they were meant to be canned cause of the rain.

PaPa Roach: Unbelievable! Highlight of Day 2 really went all out.

Marilyn Manson: Hit & Miss definetley cant do what he was capable of 10 years ago.

Mayhem: Not my cup of tea.

Butcher Babies: Great! Really put on a fun show was dissapointed they did'nt play 'In Denial' got to crowd surf and high five the lead singers!

Smashing Pumpkins: Always been a fan but man they were dull did'nt really enjoy them at all. Billy Corgan needs to drink some Red Bulls or something!

Soundgarden and Slash were freakin incredible.

FNM were very good, didn't really know what to expect with them to be honest.

Manson was f**king woeful imo...

I thought Incubus were good but played too much of their soft shit.

Personal highlights: Godflesh, Ministry, Faith No More, Mayhem, Exodus, Judas Priest. Didn;t even go to main stage on day 2, the metal stage was killing it. Got some decent photos over the weekend too:
