RATM alone make the big day out the festival of the summer. Laneway is probably the worst lineup for a festival i've ever seen. 'Festival of the summer' indeed :roll:.

Rage against the machine may be the show of the summer- but as a festival BDO is a bit on the nose so far. Everything may change with the second announcement. There could be some SP in there who i would be kicking myself if i miss.

Soundwave- with 3 of my favourite bands; incubus, killswitch and coheed looks like it will be a great day out. Not to mention a heap of other bands who are decent imo.

Anyway.. they both leave Laneway in the dust.

Whilst I don't mind The Panics or gotye, it's a bit of a stretch to even call that a festival, IMO.

As for festivals, Trackside is clearly the best of the season. Brilliant.

I had planned to line up at our local Ticketmaster agency earlyish, but I got a call at 4am saying to be quick as there were only 20 people there..

Screw that. I had my sisters graduation on that morning, so a mate was lucky enough to get standing (but very decent) tickets online.

Plus BDO tickets a few weeks later

now I double hate you and I want to have a cry about BDO, at least now seeing my HSC commitments will be over 3 hours I will no longer be hinderred in getting tickets for anything but I have to go to my exam now

PS; Just because you haven't heard of a band doesn't mean they're terrible.

In fact, if you think that is the best festival of the summer, it probably means they are pretty good TBH.
