Ok new clues ill name one associated act with the band: theyre either an act this band regularly plays with, a member used to play or currently plays in, or a band that is similar in some way

Band 1: Anti-Flag
Band 2: Metallica
Band 3: Xzibit
Band 4: House of Pain

These clues are making me more certain by the day that Band 1 is RATM. Anti-Flag and RATM have performed together at protest rallies on several occasions. And the second clue is blatantly obvious. Bulls on Parade.

Also band 4 is definitely Limp. DJ Lethal used to be a member of House of Pain before he jumped on board with Limp. Also Limp rose to fame with a cover of the song "Faith" by George Michael.

I think band 3 might actually be Cypress Hill. Formed in 1988, last album was in 2010. They headlined the Coaster Festival at Gosford in 2010. Their front man B-Real was part of a super group called Serial Killaz that also had Xzibit in it. And the brain clue, even if you don't know Cypress Hill that well surely everyone knows of the hip hop anthem "Insane In The Membrane".

1. RATM
2. Anthrax
3. Cyprus Hill
4. Limp Bizkit

These seem 100% now.
All the date clues apply to Anthrax.
They're one of the Big 4 of Thrash Metal with Metallica and frequently play with them.
Have 2 members already playing.
And one of their most popular songs is called 'Caught In A Mosh'.

SK gave reasons for the others and date clues apply to them all.

Limp Bizkit was band 4...maybe they backed out??? wouldnt be suprised especially with what happened at BDO id be hestitant to come back here too

will be interesting to see if the bands i was told r on the lineup. although AJ announced on twitter that 2 of the bands r filling headline slot 2 and 3. im confidant LB will be on it or Megadeth - sonisphere band.

According to twitter 2 of the 3 big bands that were chased. Signed on at Sonosphere. The main stages were:

FridaySaturdaySundayMetallica
Slayer
Megadeth
Anthrax
Diamond Head

Biffy Clyro
Weezer
You Me At Six
Bad Religion
Cavalera Conspiracy
Architects
Sylosis

Slipknot
Limp Bizkit
Motörhead
Parkway Drive
Mastodon
Arch Enemy
Volbeat

nah it was actually 2 of the bands in the upper rung of bands signed onto SWREV from sonisphere which from my source was LB and Anthrax...slipknot have something on in september im pretty sure. and biffy clyro arnt big enough over here to command a headline spot...my money is still on LB though i trust my source

Morello confirmed they have no more unannounced dates for the rest of 2011.

So that's RATM and Limp Bizkit out...
