I know that there is always a bit on bantz between Aussies and Kiwis about the Origin of things.

But claiming Bacon Butty as a kiwi term and/or invention is next level.

Hardly an improvement

I think there’s something of an understanding that Orcas is reserved for a Wellington related team in NZ.
Someone shouting out rabbit o selling rabbits during the Great Depression because the poor of south Sydney couldn’t afford to eat anything else is an amazing logo

straight to the codes working class roots

Wellington might not get a team for 10 years orcas is way better

orcas vs dolphins

orcas vs sharks

which is going to get kids interested in the club ?

If we're looking for something that resonates with NZ kids in particular, it'd be Kea.

The Dolphins/Sharks thing would be pretty cool no doubt, but the Kea probably only lags the Kiwi for national significance.

Yep. They’re marketable as a mascot, and locally relevant. And anyone who’s met one knows that they’re an appropriate enough animal for a contact sport

Main Color should also be jade after the greenstone pounamu, only found on south Island, for the other colors orange is fine
