That's not thier name, they're the Keas.Hasnt talked to Vlandys, didnt talk to the RL club with ownership of the name. Geez he's off to a good start!
That's a cool little spot.I’m off to Picton in a couple of weeks
If I was Linwood, I'd tell them to renovate the club/ground and make South Island Keas sign a 2% naming rights income on all merchandise that will go on to support Linwood and its juniors.
And even if it did there's a difference between Keas and Kea which is probably a big enough difference.
I don't trust the Cantabs to ever finish the stadium with a roof.Roof...
I knew you would be happy...Hasnt talked to Vlandys, didnt talk to the RL club with ownership of the name. Geez he's off to a good start!
More worried he has to get it across NZRL who will probably start meddling and fk things right up. Bunch of fking amateurs that lot.Hasnt talked to Vlandys, didnt talk to the RL club with ownership of the name. Geez he's off to a good start!
Good luck opening a burger place called McDonald rather than Mcdonalds! That's not thier name, they're the Keas.
Maybe Ralene Castle could head up another bidDavid Moffett oversaw NRL at one of it's lowest ebbs. The thought of his involvement in the NRL again fills me with horror. Like handling matches to an arsonist.
McDowell's would workGood luck opening a burger place called McDonald rather than Mcdonalds!
I thought it was decided on here that Kea was the plural, how come they are called Keas?
I suspect amateur Rugby League clubs marketing and promotion budget is not enough to undertake the market research needed to understand the correct grammar for their regions indigenous language.Good luck opening a burger place called McDonald rather than Mcdonalds!

That's is the classic with Eddie Murphy " coming to America "McDowell's would work
Home of the Big Mick
They did start using it over 110 years ago so I guess times may have changed in language usage, at the least they wouldnt have had google back then!I suspect amateur Rugby League clubs marketing and promotion budget is not enough to undertake the market research needed to understand the correct grammar for their regions indigenous language.
As long as they both head back to union to wreak even more carnage. I`d love to see another Raelene Castle in charge of Oz union right now, just to put the last nail in the coffin.Maybe Ralene Castle could head up another bid
she is currently CEO of sport NZ - so don't expect much from the Kiwis in the Paris OlympicsAs long as they both head back to union to wreak even more carnage. I`d love to see another Raelene Castle in charge of Oz union right now, just to put the last nail in the coffin.
I’ve been to plenty of cold wet n windy winter games in Wellington and your right it’s not the best, would the new stadium being indoors likely negate this mostly?I was more referencing going to games on cold Friday nights than the actual going out partying aspect.
I’ve only heard them called that in London and also never heard the team Quart used but might be a regional thing and Dunedin having a big Scot influenceI didn't come across them in England but I wasn't there as long as nz. Only found them to be common and advertised around Dunedin.
But thanks for the history class.
Or the club is old when proper use of Te Reo was a bit of an afterthought and was just anglicised in the plural senseI suspect amateur Rugby League clubs marketing and promotion budget is not enough to undertake the market research needed to understand the correct grammar for their regions indigenous language.
