Fittler, Johns, Barrett, Tallis, Webcke etc were always better the Paul. He was never in the top 3 players in the world.

Some people considered him in the top 3, who are you to say they're wrong?

Robbie Paul would not make an impact in Premier League.

Under sized, a poor defenser, slow, poor kicking and passing game....

This is the type of move Richeradson and McRae would make!

Robbie Paul is probably 2-3 years past his best in my opinion.

I don't think he'd really do anything spectacular in the NRL.

Im good friends with Champion and i can tell you the couple of times he played halfback in place of Moran he wasn't very happy.

His goal is to be Souths fullback in the near future.

He's was good, but over the hill I'm afraid. He's a shadow of the player he used to be.

OT, but one my biggest regrets in RL is not seeing more of Henry Paul, in the NRL and at international level. He always looked a fabulous player, at fullback, centre, 5/8, lock and hooker. One of those who could have been anything but took the soft option of easy money in the ESL and then yawnyawn.

Same here i have only seen Paul play in Union, but i still see him as a good player there.

Does any1 have any video links of Henry Paul in league?

Henry Paul was a much more solid player then his brother, but still, he was average at best.

A very good goal kicker, but outside of that he wasnt above average at anything else.

I remember I was at the ANZAC test, when he recieved the man of the match but couldn't accept it because he had gone to hospital.

Henry Paul was a much more talented and complete player than Robbie IMO hence he got poached by Union and Robbie didn't. I believe Matty Johns once said to Benji Marshall after a game "Mate you know who you remind me of? Henry Paul" which I think is a accurate statement considering Henry bascially carried the kiwi team for a time.

He has failed miserably at Union but sadly won't comeback to League because of his pride and the pay packet.

He didn't look comfortable at half either. He will have a big battle on his hands for the fullback spot next season, with Polglase probably getting first crack, and Merritt also in the mix. While I reckon he will be our long-term fullback, he will probably play most of 2006 from the bench as a utility back.
