placebo effect is strong.
Unless these stickers are testosterone patches they aren't gonna do a thing.
Seriously what's wrong with NRL teams? They are meant to be at the height of sport science and they use power bands and tribulus for the players, when 5 min of reading an common sense tells you they are worthless.
Wake up guys, you're not that much smarter than everyone else.
It's amazing how stupid people are on so many levels.
Do you idiots really think that Souths believe these work? Of course they don't, they would be fully aware that the only benefit to players would be placebo based. It's all about marketing. Same as the Tigers with the Powerbands. And it wouldn't surprise me if sloth got some extra beer money this week for "exposing" the real reason Souths made the GF. Wake up guys, you're not that much smarter than everyone else.
So they DONT believe they work, and wear them anyway??
That's even dumber!
So you are saying they aren't dumb, they are just complete lying charlatans deliberately trying to rip off the gullible?
That's MUCH better....
Yes, so dumb.... It's not about whether they work or not, it's about whether or not having their NRL team wear them will help Boxa (who they are obviously fairly cosy with) sell thousands of these to wannabe athletes and intellectually challenged people everywhere. And the DTs article making them seem like a miracle device that turned around Souths season will help to do exactly the same thing.
I think they went looking for a good grand final story and were given nothing from the club except this beatup story along the same lines as the powerbands from a few years ago.
But if it makes them play better you cant say it DOESN'T work can you?
Strap them on the broncos, they could definitely use it.
Being good is why they play well, not some 2c sticker.
The Doggies made the green final from 7th, how good are their stickers?
If they play better with them on, it works, simple as that.
"if the person expects the treatment to work, the chances of a placebo effect are higher. Some studies show that the placebo effect may still take place even if the person is sceptical of success. The power of suggestion may be at work here."
No real difference to a sports psychologist convincing some shitty half back that he's as good as Jonathon Thurston to elevate his confidence before the match up.
