This is why you don’t go off early champion.

If we finish third and a trip to Melbourne’s week one of finals we are done for.

Not just that we have to actually make the top four first if you haven’t realised.

GI and Campbell are no certainties for next week either and are seeing the specialist on Monday. It’s quite clear Adam, Cookie and Sam are carrying injuries.

If Adam is out after injuring himself tonight and scans do not come back good our season is over.....

R20 giving advice about not going off early....

The press just report it. FMD

So what really happens? They create sackings and mid season raids?

No fan of News Corpse but fmd the game has to take some accountability for the shit show that is the last few weeks.

Easy to blame the crisis merchants but blokes like Gus hice them the ammo..

All good to say that we should be able to deal with injury but you generally don't lose your entire backline in the space of one or two weeks. If they're spread out through the team a bit better then you can deal with them but last night, we had new defensive combinations on both edges and it showed.

Nine day turn around this week. A bit of a freshen up and some front line troops back. I expect a much improved effort against Canberra next weekend.

Its Souths forwards that have been bashed the past 3 weeks are starting to show wear and tear.
Reynolds picked up bruises last night too.. A few players need a week or two off before the finals...

I was so sick of Gus blowing his trumpet over Souths winning streak. Before the season started it was Roosters then after a few rounds it was Dragons then Panthers then Souths now back to Roosters being favourites.

Storm must be loving being under the radar.

you think so? it's why claiming the premiership in season is generally fraught with danger. the regular season is all about chalking up the wins to give you a chance in the playoffs. nothing more.

form in july means f**k all. form in august means f**k all. it comes down to having the troops healthy, fresh as they can be, putting it together in september....and souths are running out of time to achieve it

We should still finish in the top 4, which is where the premiers should come from. So we are still in with a chance. Injuries seem to have hit us at the wrong time, which is not helping. I still think we will make the grand final against the Roosters.

While a game in Melbourne will be tough, I dont see it not being winnable. The Storm are not the team they were.
