Mate, it's unreal!!!!!!!!

What a pack!!!!!

I'll go so far as to say it is the best pack we've had for decades, even better than the warhorses of 1989.

Fantastic news, the question is now who will be cut.Kidwell will go,but I feel a couple of other forwards ie McPherson,J.Lowe,Frog could be in the firing line.

South Sydney sign Brisbane Broncos forward David Taylor for 2010
By staff writers
May 12, 2009 .The NRL's hottest off-contract property has finally settled on a new home, Brisbane Broncos forward David Taylor agreeing to terms with South Sydney for 2010.

Speculation has been rife over the 20-year-old prop's future since before a ball was kicked in 2009 with the Rabbitohs making their intentions clear from the outset.

Taylor's 119kg frame and exceptional speed have made him a unique prospect however questions still remain over his fitness and ability to last for extended stints on the field since the reduction in interchange numbers was introduced.

A junior of the Blackwater club in central Queensland, Taylor debuted for the Broncos in 2007, making an immediate impact and being earmarked as a representative player of the future.

I,m sure our training staff will whip him into shape in no time I think by signing Crocker that made up his mind & I think big Gordy had something to do with it also.:lol::lol:

It is a good signing that may become a great one. Still very young as a props go. Turns 21 next month. Has plenty of upside.

A huge man, but maybe too big. In build reminds me a lot of the Cowboys Shane Tronc.

no way. tronc lumbers to the line, Taylor busts lines wide open Way much more leg drive than Tronc.

The big question is, Dave Taylor, can he improve under Jason Taylor? Jason has been hit and miss with enigma's in the past, will be very interesting. I think he is a good signing though, I had thought the knights may have looked at him as well.

Dave Taylor

An RPI of +6, a very solid signing.

115 kilos of raw meat hurling himself at opposition forwards, drawing defences in.

11 runs for 92 metres per match which is almost 25% better than the NRL average.

Hits the ball up almost 3 times more than the NRL average.

Offloads 20% more than the average NRL Player.

Young, fit and healthy wont reach his peak for another 6 years.

Crocker and Taylor in the space of a week.

A mighty Souths pack full of size, venomn and fire is emerging as the game slumbers on.

Mark Hughes, Souths Recruitment Manager, you are the pride of the league.

Im pissed that the Broncos have let him go, but realise that souths probably paid big money for him, and also understand that Henjak doesnt have much choice but to play him in QLD cup at the moment.

His current fitness level limits him to about 20 minutes in first grade, whereas he can play almost 80 in QLD cup. Hes a great talent but has a lot of work to do.

$270k for an unproven forward who can only play limited minutes is a big call he will either be incredibly good for ya's or Karl Frilingo's.

That being said ur pack next year, even this year is one of the strongest in the comp.

If the figure of $270k per season is correct then I believe we have paid too much to sign him.

While Taylor may show all the potential in the world he is yet to prove that he is a consistent 1st grade player.
