Bunnies taking giant strides forward.

if they get Vagana, Kidwell and Asotasi...thats massive for them and it will definately attract other players to their team.

A souths thats competitive......

Thats gonna take a while to comprehend.

There are only so many players you can fit under the salary cap, and if they are all nudging 30 then you are only postponing the grief for a couple more years.

Sure, sign a couple of guys to add some experience but Souths` little buying binge is going to come back and bite them.

they should look at Darren and Jason Smith as well.
both old, but darren was playing great football last year, jason as well.
injured at the moment though?

They are looking at Jason who is apparently keen for one more year. DT ran a story late last week I think. ;-)

They could also go for Craig and Rohan Teevan. How awesome would that be?

Good on em, just hope he doesnt end up turning out like Galuvao..

Galuvao was always going to be a dud buy. He had one good year and that was it. If I was running Souths I'd piss him off quick smart. Good to see them brushing Adam MacDougall as well. He's not the sort of personality Souths need in their team. Too self-centred. He'd be better at the Chooks.

Good Luck David K

Better do your best to get the Storm on the winning end of a GF this year as it may be your last chance ;-)

This upsets me greatly.
It shouldn't.

He has served the Melbourne Storm club well. :D
Let him get the reward that he absolutely deserves.

He will be great value to the Bunnies as his leadership skills will be invalueable to them and will excell given a premanent leadership role.

Good buy for the Bunnies IMO, will bring some badly needed starch to the pack. At least the club put the last 2 years options in their favour, smart move as well. Asotasi would be a good buy as well, i'd be sad to see him leave the dogs but its the reality of the cap. $400K will be well overs for him but sometimes you've got to pay that in order to get the recruits you want. Better than paying $350K over 3 years to a 32 year old Vagana

Totally agree.

Kidwell, as well as a hard worker, will get the rest of the forward pack pumping. Good signing.

As for those talking about paying overs, its what souths have to do unfortunately, now they have administration who know they are in 2006 not 1966, paying overs for players will be the nature of the beast until PHAC and Rusty get the place the way they envision it.

Souths seem to be buying lots of experienced guys. Should do wonders for their youngsters.
