Interesting article:

Here is a bit of the article

a picture of him, all moustache graffiti and texta scribble, fell to the floor. He looked around the room. The teammate who had left it in his locker was staring at him. So was each and every one of the players he had gone into battle with just four days before. He was now fighting back tears, knowing he would never play with them again.
Locker cleared, he picked up his bag, nodding at the silent posse as he walked out. He was a Dragon no more.

Who drew the picture. That is slack and I wouldn't want to play with a player who put a graffiti picture in someone's locker.

We know what Jamie has done for the club. We know what Price has done to the club. If I had to pick a side.. Gee I hate Price.

I know there's always two sides to a story but the treating of a passionate premiership player of ours by the club, the coach, and now it seems from some of the players if true is a joke.

I wonder who would do the graffiti.

And also reading this it makes me wonder when soward asked price if he could still do weights and train with group and price replied no.

I think price would have said more than just no.

Maybe sowatd is hiding something

Let it go lads. Soward was great for us and should be revered for his efforts in getting us a premiership.
There was a lot going on behind the scenes in luring Widdop and others to the club. Soward was not in the plans and had done very little for almost 18 months. Price didn't help but I don't see too many putting him on a pedestal either ?
Soward needs to move on and so should we, he doesn't play for us anymore. Good luck at the Panthers Jamie and thank you for your efforts!
Onwards and upwards....

Soward was great for us until 2012 where he played like a busted arse. Refused to run the ball and generally have a dig. As with the Moltzen debarcle, we are alot better off with Widdop and Duges.

There was a squad of 25 playing like a busted arse. Baffles me why he was criticised more than the other 24. The whole team were terrible, coached by an idiot. 2012-mid 2014 were the darkest days I've known as a supporter and the way the Dragons handled the end of Soward's days at the club were a disgrace.

“I remember asking him if I could still train with the top squad, do weights and things like that. He said, ‘No’. Next thing I know I was cleaning out my locker. I was shitty, angry, and upset. The whole squad saw me cleaning it out. It was one of the most embarrassing moments of my life. Then I had to jump in the car and go home and tell my wife.’’

Not the best way to handle a difficult situation - What sort of lasting impression would that have had on all the other players in the change rooms? Even if Jamie was being a pain in the arse this is no way to treat someone.

Maybe Price should have asked himself ... Is this how Wayne would have handled this situation ?

It just goes to show that Price had no idea what he was doing...In the end he certainly had his pants pulled down

Never been a Soward fan, however if this is actually the way it went down, then it's schoolyard stuff and I feel sorry for the guy.

Price was a very bad man manager IMO.

100%. + Jamie never got the send off he deserved. Will always be remembered as part of our 2010 premiership squad. In my books that makes him a player to be respected. Price on the other hand....

Price and Jamie both had faults. Price was the coach. He should have handled it better. He had no idea.
As much as I like Jamie and what he did for us, I think he should just get on with his life and enjoy his "Panthers Footy".

Exactly, I'm very happy that he has found success at the Panthers now.

How funny this article comes after a loss serious wasn't a great way for him to finish is career at the Dragons but get over it.

That's harsh, Price was crucial to our success in 2010, who else was going to run the water? :sarcasm:

You've hit the nail on the head. I would add this to your statement; the Board were derelict in the performance of their duty when they did not sack Price at the end of 2012. Price had already proved himself to be the wrong choice for head coach.
