yeh i was more concerned about the last time you made it in PL. so last year you got to the major semis, hopefully one step further this yr

We entered premier league in yr 2000 and had achieved 8th spot first year in, however that was on a Saturday. Penrith who were in 9th spot knew they had to beat the sharks to EQUAL OUR POINTS the next day. Not only did they have to win, but they had to do it by a huge margin to take 8th spot on a mere for and against. I thought we were safe as Cronulla had been playing well that year. However they totaly slaughtered them , and took 8th spot from under us.

We had beat them convincely earlier that year, however Penrith went from 8th spot ( to their credit ) all the way to the grandfinal that year, only to go down to another side we had beaten during the season, the Berries !!!!.

Pushing the memory too far after a nightwork there cobber. It's been a so close ride at times though.

Won grandfinals since 1981 though and others since 1908, just not the Premier league one....................Yet !!!!!;-) ;-)

Will give you a Saints game report if you like mate. I have only missed about three games all season and that is three more than usual. But am driving from my new home down Canberra for this one mate, just like I did for the Parra game. Three hundred k's to Henson's gates...LOL..............Wild horses could not keep me away when i am not working weekends, LOL.....

Am on 6 weeks annual leave as of today after working a stint of 48 hrs in 4 days and coming off a night work, and took the leave a year in advance in anticipation of waiting for these upcoming days. !!!! Bring it on !!!! Have waited too many years before that as well !!!!!!

The Jets were in last year's Premier League finals series. We knocked St George Illawarra out which was very enjoyable. Then lost to Parra 24-14 one game short of the Grand Final. Parra then unfortunately won the Grand Fianl comfortably against the Roosters.

This year Newtwon will meet the Parrasites in the Grand Final and we will win with all our Rooster boys!

does that mean he wont be able to play for newtown during the semi's?

Apparently, it will mean that Soward cannot play in the PL Finals series.

I don't understand the logic in that at all. Even though a few spin doctor's have tried to justify the decision!

Surely they wouldn't waste him in first grade when we have nothing to really achieve? Let Soward play some more finals footy, it'll be better for him and the club as a whole.

Judging by the way the Dragons smashed the Jets on Saturday I doubt they'll be anywhere near a GF this year.

We had players doubling up after a playing an entire game of Jim Bim Cup agsint Windsor in that saints game. We will smash saints if we come up againt them with a decent side. We had half our usual team out plus ..LOL....

i was in the car on the way to the footy on saturday night and i heard a score update between the roosters and dragons jersey flegg. it was dragons ahead 18-0

within 10 minutes, i was in the ground, and as i got there, we kicked a goal which took us to 20-18! :crazy:

then mitchell pearce scored that 90m try. what a great comeback! looking good for the title!

Pearce is a great young prospect and the club should do their best to hang onto him.
