If anyone has seen The Simpsons re: The Itchy and Scratchy Movie episode from LOOONG ago, they'd know that Homer mentions "mmm Soylent Green" at the end of that episode (when Bart has become a Supreme Court Judge).
But this is actually a movie, starring one of the all-time greats in Charlton Heston. Have you ever seen it ? One of the most bizarre movies of all time, a classic though. I thought Charlton Heston could never out-do the Omega Man (a story about the sole survivor of a post-apocalyptic world, where the survivors became vampire-like and he was the last normal human out there), but Mr Heston came close with this classic.
Wow ... such a strange and bizarre movie. Very close to the Omega Man ... this is why i rate Charlton Heston right up there in the best actors of all time. Truly amazing sh*te ... i bet they are hard to find at a normal video store though.
Trust me ... if you find Soylent Green or The Omega Man (the Simpsons also did a version of this too) then PLEASE .. see it !!

it used to be a regular on TV in the late 70's early 80's but I hadn't seen it since then. Got a copy on DVD recently though
