Spat The Dummy

Version IV

Yep I spat the dummy after Tigers game, and why, I look at it like this and showing my age.
Each and everyone here given the chance would have loved to have played for the sharks bleed for the sharks.

What I have seen this year is players who don't care, yes they beat the cowboys, but they are shocking as well.
The loss to the dragons the attitude is wrong, they don't seem to care when they lose.
If I was to see a player throwing stuff in dressing room after a loss, I would see a player who cares.
A coach who already makes excuses, tonight O'Brien knight knight coach launched a water bottle because a player dropped the ball, our players not all but many just seem not to care like it's just a run, they wouldn't bleed for the Jersey, I doubt half of them know who our first game in 67 was against.
My late dad would say to me as a kid.
1. A dummy falls for a dummy
2. Always play to the whistle
It's damn simple our players can't even do that.
If you made the captain the player who leads from the front it's Rudolf a guy with 6 games, all those experienced players are missing it's pathetic.
Our club needs a cleanout, we are years away from being a contender

I am good, I try not to let the team get to me

I'm good at switching off these days, I forced myself to watch the last 20 minutes of the Drags game, just to iterate how f**king far we've fallen from 2016. I just turned it off and ate my dinner. Congratulated every St George friend giving it to me on ye old FB and said that they deserved to win. It was easy.....

When a team wins the GF the club needs a personnel overhaul.

The guys who you need to move in are the ones who rode in the coattails of the ones who make it happen.

They're the ones we kept.

Don't youse worry JC - it is hurting the Donkey Supporters a whole lot more than it is hurting us.

There is a beautiful sound being generated up here north of the Tweed and their choir is in full voice.

They are in unchartered waters and are squealing like stuck pigs.

Realistically it is not such a big deal for us as we've been there and done that .......... (often)

I'm flexible ,we win they "done" good, they lose they are sh*thouse.
The days of losing a lot of sleep over it are over. I'll still follow them ,I'm indoctrinated.

Well, some of our best players were near retirement and soon retired.

Ben Barba went off the rails (or on the rail?)

Maloney decided to have a sook.

Bird and Holmes thought they were too good for Cronulla and left despite our best intentions to keep them.

We re-signed Fifita who was probably the best player in the grand final and that entire season.

We kept Wade and made him captain.

“Average“ players like leutele, Feki, Taga were all moved on.

oh wait, we re-signed Chad. Now I know what this stupid post is about.

I'm just going to address the two that I have highlighted.
Maloney had a sook, maybe, but why? Because all of a sudden the guy whom he had carried through the season, Chad, was on nearly even money with him.
Bird wanted to stay but felt he was disrespected by Flange as the coach had said we'll sort out your contract this week, 3 months later Flanno approached him again. He was gone. These are words from Birds mouth.
Holmes obviously didn't like Flange much either, got out of his contract early just not to play under him anymore.
Bird and Holmes were best buddies whilst they were at the club.

Plus the other Maloney thing. It was decided by someone else
