The perverse Sheens is hugely responsible for this shithouse predicament we r in whereby our season is done at such an early stage.
Sheens made the imbecilic & damaging decision to discard the wrong no.7.There is currently no justification whatsoever for persevering with the pathetic brooks in the NRL team & he should be dropped to nsw cup immediately especially as he’s in his final yr of contract & half of his salary has been paid.
We need to do our utmost to salvage some pride for the rest of season.I rate dean hawkins at souths & we should try & lure him to concord immediately.I’m sure there’s another decent half playing lower grades only coz they r behind a gun no. 7 in their NRL team. For the short term this is our best option. However Whilever the obstinate delusional sheens is at the helm I expect a continuation of toxic decisions.

Hawkins… great idea.

The club won’t be salvaging any pride, we are too far gone with this frolic that started with the sacking of Madge.

We are coming up to a year of failed attempts to justify this wretched decision and have quadrupled down with another 4 years of abject failure and misery ahead.

Setting ourselves up nicely for relocation, sale, collapse or whatever.

The power of clubs continuous lies and false promises will wane.

The club has pretty much lost its fans, no one is interested in defending its decisions. It’s more than fair game for media.

Lee is delusional if he thinks any fan or member believes anything he says.

Same with Justin I’m afraid.

All we see is some incompetent wealthy despot rabbiting on in some deranged self aggrandising carry on.

He’s the only person on earth who thinks he’s accountable but he just can’t name who it’s to.

Certainly not to us.

Like Gaddafi's last days.

Whenever I see him, before he utters a word, I see gross bullshit coming and I’ve never been wrong.

IMO, there is no way the club would be forced to relocate? The area is far to important to the NRL.

You do realise there are other clubs are being financially supported by the NRL.

Club membership may force change though, I am already a non member these days.

When the demand for all things wests tigers eventually fades away under gross mismanagement, it will leave a void for others to fill.

Our neighbour clubs will be happy to carve up our catchment and/or we can become a feeder team for Perth.

I think that was Elias’s plan.

All these people pumping money into the club will eventually wake up and realise we are a rubbish investment and our name will denigrate and not promote their product.

Rugby League as a sport, per percentage of social influence etc is in decline. It barely reflects community values. It’s a bubble. The ordinary person has little or no emotional investment.

We understand and appreciate it, but we are a dying breed.

A bit dramatic, winning changes everything and we will get there soon. Don’t ask how long “soon” is, as I have no f**king clue.
I firmly believe we are a good player or 2 from being there, just takes a bit of gumption from the club to rid themselves of locals who just don’t have the talent.

Do you not think other clubs have been in the doldrums before? Penrith, Easts, Manly, Souths etc?

Penrith, easts, manly and Souths are accountable!

We have to be truth tellers and fight while we can.

I think minimum we need 4 players and a new coaching approach.

The WT Board surrendered their moral and ethical right to describe itself as the club last year.

For all intensive purposes, I’m afraid we are in a civil war.

Really, Easts are basically owned by Uncle Nick, Souths by the Gladiator, Manly by the Penn family, the only one of this 4 is Penrith, and I’m not sure how they operate? But any club struggling like us, would have fans wanting blood and rightfully so.

Everyone has accountability, but what happens is another issue.

But, what they all do, like most others, except us, is have people who know how to run a football club, put in charge of the football club?

From my understanding of current things WT’s, we have no one overseeing the footy club except the now coach, who sacked the last bloke for a better performance with shittier players than current. That is just bullshit.

No proof of this, but IMO, there must a board directive that Brooks cannot be dropped or sold?

The biggest problem for us of which there are numerous is the culpable & tyrannical board who are clueless re rugby league & obviously only give a fk about the perks & status that come with being a director of a prosperous sports entity. The WT constitution rewards abject failure which is endemic throughout the deplorable organisation.Just have a look at our perpetually horrendous recruitment policy awash with lemons & has-beens.It’s unforgivable & beggars belief.

If our board were accountable, we would have seen changes already.

The abandonment of due process to let Tim appoint himself as coach (and his little mate Benji for a further 3 years without any experience) was indescribably dodgy, bordering on corrupt and contemptuous of fans, members, sponsors and all stakeholders.

Suffice to say the results are reflecting this poor management with no relief in sight.

The board do not represent us. Your average wt fan is honourable and fair minded. Honour is bestowed by others, not given to oneself.

We are the running joke of the league. I’m tired of it.

TBF, it wouldn’t be easy luring potential players here with shitty record, money is the only thing we can use, I thought we did OK this season, but still a way to go obviously, just keeps coming back to our 6 & 7, we have at least $1.5m there we could for next season?

We haven’t done ok, we haven’t even won a game!

We’ve taken good players and screwed them.

Even Brooksy has joined the unaccountable club.

Don’t mix words to suit your f**king argument, our recruiting has been pretty good, it’s the coaching not making the changes that are the main problem.

I’m not mixing words to suit any argument.

The record shows our recruitment hasn’t done anything to help us. We’ve got worse.

That’s not an argument, it’s fact.

Don’t fall for the promises and spin, we’ve actually gone backwards.

Our new players haven’t brought results with them.

Today it’s all official that Madge was indeed a better coach than Tim Sheens.

I can appreciate the fractured nerves.

Those four forward. signings were top shelf, they are not the problem.
The halves and the coach are.

They were top shelf..I’m not sure they are in their groove.

Whatever the mix, the side has been disfigured by failed experiments and APIs combos haven’t materialised.

It is a coaching failure, it is also a recruitment failure.

That last minute grab of Wakeham as insurance. He has one bad game and it’s over.

I’d still like to know more about the Nofo story.

Laurie wants out I guess. He didn’t need to be silly like proctor.

To be fair, some players are improving. God knows how lol.

At the NRL level, imo, a player should still be able to tackle, run, pass and kick (if it’s his role) despite the quality of the coaching, but have always agreed that the current coach should never have been appointed, because whatever he is training them to do is a decade old and obviously not working atm.

Phantom, it doesn’t work that way.
When the banks put interest rates up immediately it’s the CEO who the press go to.
When Qantas didn’t return the government money during Covid, the press had the CEO in their sights.

No one in the corporate world goes to the chairmen or board member, rugby league has turned into a business and the person who is accountable is the CEO, but remember, he delegates many functions and he’s allowed to do that.

Where it’s unfortunate is where one of those under his control is allowed to run his own show and it would appear the Sheens has been given too much freedom.

I disagree. The board isn’t a creation of its itself.

I agree that Tim can’t breathe if they don’t give him approval.

Pascoe is answerable to the board as well. He is restrained by trying to make them happy. It’s his job to spin and carry on. Personally, he may well be displeased with current outcomes. He’d be crazy not to.

With the team failing, add tens of thousands of disenfranchised fans, members and stakeholders, dishonoured promises, I’d expect that there are rifts already we don’t know about.

Pascoe is paid to keep up a brave face and cop the heat.

Tim’s honeymoon period is over. That he said he “ won’t give up on the boys” is pretty arrogant and reminds me of Lee promising to step down when he feels he “can’t make a contribution.”

He’s been a miserable, inept, arrogant, unaccountable and ineffective Chair.

The board fumbles its way from loss to loss, from lie to lie and trapped in its grand delusion still believes it has something to offer.
