Seeing as Brad Hogg is useless as tits on a bull..who should be the spinners going to Pakistan? Normally they take 2 and we should assume that Macgill is one of them. I will put forward Aaron Heal as the 2nd spinner.

Surprised you didn't nominate Sunshine to stand at the crease and bowl a few offies, seeing as he can't run at the moment.

1 finger spinner and 1 wrist spinner

Aaron Heal picks himself IMO he has been in pretty good form for a year or two.
If Macgill is 100% fit then he goes too, otherwise I would pick Mcgain ahead of Hogg.

McGain would be the other one CS, and it depends how they go, but I feel they won't pick 2 leggies. Heal is the best out of the offies.

not too sure about that

Roy has developed into a pretty good finger spinner this series and his opponents weren't too shabby

taking heal and mcgill essentially is like taking 2 leggies anyway.

I would have thought if there was any chance of them playing in the same game together you would want an off spinner to provide the variety. A left arm orthodox spinner is moving it away from the right handers just like a leggie ( although obviously not to the same degree)

Well looking around the country, each states first choice 5 day spinner with Hogg as Aus spinner is:

NSW - MacGill (Casson & Hauritz as backup)

QLD - Doran

WA - Heal

SA - Cullen (Bailey as backup)

VIC - McGain

TAS - Doherty (Krejza as backup)

not much to choose from. I'd be willing to maybe give Cullen another go, MacGill won't be around for much longer, much like Hogg, & Cullen in the Aus team not only means we have a young spinner flourishing, but Bailey also gets a chance at state level to develop.

MacGill & Hogg should seriously retire.

If MacGill his fit, he will go. They may take another spinner who won't necessarily play unless there's an injury. Three quicks, MacGill, Symonds and Clark in the eleven should suffice I would think.
