I liked Peter Ropati getting excited about the match comparing the players to gladiators in the colosseum. He began to get a bit mixed up and declared, " like when they fed the lions to the romans!"

The Roosters win a tough close one with a 7-3 penalty count against them and morons are claiming the ref was OUR side?

No credit for our goal line defence.
No credit for our victory with less possesion.
No credit for us keeping the Warriors to just 6 points.
No, just more stupid "oh but yous had the ref on your side".

Oh well, we get the 2 points, we get a lot of confidence back in our defence, we get two wins on the trot, we get some momentum, we've got a bye next week and we get to piss off a lot of brain deads on a forum.

Can I ask why the Roberts try was not given?

I may have missed something blatant but it appeared that the Finch cross-kick went off Manu Vatuvei's hands into Wing's knee back into the field of play - Roberts picked it up and scored.

Now the way I see it the only result of a no try I can see would possibly be off-side (behind kicker), knock on by Wing (even if it was his knee) or off-side again (for Roberts being in front of Wing's knee).

HOW CAN IT BE A LINE-DROP OUT???

vatuvei knocked it on, came off wings leg roberts in front of wing marginally (just like anasta against the roosters) called a accidentel offside but no advantage so go back to first knock on which was vatuvei knocking it on in goal, line dropout.

Been beating off a bit too much?

I've said it before, I'll say it again. Billy Harrigan, and infact any ref with a sack full of nuts would have had 3-4 of the Chooks in the bin for deliberate infringements in the ruck. They were lying in the tackle that much they could have opened Bed & Breakfasts.

I'm miffed at a 4 penalty difference between the two sides. I've seen the Warriors play the same deliberate spoiling tactics before, which A: resulted in two lop sided 4-1 penalty counts in the vicinity of 15-4, and B: Having Ricky Stuart blow up that it takes an unfit side to slow the game down as much as we did. What's with your team then Sticky?

F*ck me, any team could keep a team to 6 points if they were holding press conferences in every tackle.

Every team has it's turn getting what they percieve as dodgy calls, the ire of the ref, picked on, etc etc. I imagine there were several dozen Raider fans heads EXPLODING yesterday arvo at Bruce? And I'll bet there were an equal number of Sharks fans saying "it's payback for when we was robbed back in..."

Just saw the Soliola try again.
The ref got it right to a degree..he had 3 choices..Penalty to easts for tackle without the ball on Roberts....knock on off Webb (he did knock the bal, whether he played at it is another thing...then it would be accidental offside against the warriors when it came off Webb and then was picked up by the other warrior player.
Either way it was ball to easts.
