Yeah. I've been having my heart broken for 38 years.
As I tried to point out to an attractive young lady after the match. It doesn't matter if you lose by 1 point or 100, you still lose. Similarly, it doesn't matter if you win by 1 point or 100, you still win. I know I'd rather play badly every week and win than play well every week and lose. But that doesn't apply here as costly errors at vital times destroy us. As Vince Lombardi once said:

A great gutsy effort tonight, but the Sharks lacked a decent kicking game and once again there were too many fumbles in our own half. We need three wins now from the last four, it's becoming a big ask now. :?

Bloody good game mates. I thought the Broncos would of had it but we just couldn't do anything. Lousy game played by us once again, great game played by Cronulla.

I will say it once and I'll say it again I hate Golden Point. I just wanted the whole thing over and done with.

I'm with Popper, though he's managed even more years than I.

It's going to be very hard to make the 8 from here - its very congested around the 20-point mark and we are by no means certain of any more wins, although you would have to be optimistic and pencil in two. I dont think 26 points will be enough and even if it is the F/A gets us

Popper, I think it Vince Lombardi also once said something like "football isn't a matter of life and death - it's far more important than that". Seems like that for sharks fans, eh?
