When the raffle ticket sellers come around at the home games, tell them you are not going to buy one until they win a game, or we have a new board ... either way it could be a while...

I was going to go this weekend ..the missus is away and I would have to bring the grommy.
Problem is ...is it worth me
a) not drinking as I have to drive ...baby seat etc.
b) going behind the hill to do a stinking nappy change in public.
c) have him hanging off me all day giving me a rooted back
d) attempting to feed him ( parents will know this horror)
e) have the remote possibillity of him being freaked out if the Sharks score and the crowd cheer loudly
f)watching the team I unexplicably support get towled up by a team going worse than us..if that is at all possible
g) Watching Nigel Vagana bundy on and do nothing
h) Watching Brett Kimmorely throw that fuggen inside hospital ball.
I) walk all the way back to the car in agony and in a state of depression

or

Stay at home and
a) get drunk with fridge four steps away from couch
b) Watch it on foxtel
c) turn it off and watch something else when all hope is lost
d) Turn it back on and watch Melbourne or some good team play proper footy.
e) go to bed

i don't know

as far as I'm concerned the Club as a club from the top down has lied to me.

I was under the impression that this year the Sharks were going to HONOR the memory of the GREAT Steve Rogers.

I was under the impression they were going to play with a passion -win, lose or draw - that would HONOR the name stitched on every jumper worn this year.

I have been flat out LIED to.

Hurt the club financilly ? SSSHHH!!!T....

Take my thousands of dollars I have donated over the years and shove it up their lieing arses.

I have been there when 4000 have been at the ground but NOW they have lied to me ....

AND THE BASTARDS WANT TO LAUGH>>>OR STOP YOU POLITELY VOICING YOUR OBJECTION..

I feel so embarrassed this sh!t hole of a club has treated its GREATEST player with so little respect.

I want to start throwing haymakers at the lot of them.

Lies all fugging Lies.

what exactly is a haymaker?

I know it is a pretty ugly looking drunk mans punch but where does the nickname for it come from?

FTR
I'm not far behind you there Chondricthyes...
and I blame Pogo for jinxing the club :)

I think it came from the action of a sythe or sickle cutting hay?

"haymaker" = (a powerful boxing punch which mimics the motion of cutting hay with a scythe).

That's one theoretical meaning from google

Another is

From "Listening to American" by Stuart Berg Flexner (Simon and Schuster, New York, 1982): "haymaker, for a knockout punch, appeared in 1912, perhaps from the 1880 'hit the hay,' go to sleep."
