I will myself have a bit on Mission (not as much as anything involving Incey) but its fitness I’m slightly concerned about..
Only others I’ll entertain are VE and Sir Lucan EW (his weight is too low to ignore).
The odds of the favourite running the trip are much better than not, & to be honest he should be odds on IMO considering how piss poor this version is.

Same,absolute shocker of a field

Legit the last few years it’s been hard to put the pen completely through any more than a couple of horses. This year realistically I would be stunned if anything outside of the top 6 in the market could win.

I do have one roughy at massive odds I think is a cert to run top 10 so will probably back it ew for a bit of fun. Will keep it on the DL till I completely go over the form properly.

My inner bald man is telling me that this is either Carif(2 placings from 2 at 3200m) or the underrated Group 1 placed mare She's Ideel, both 80/1

My hair will grow back if i've got this correct

After watching Ocean Billy’s Auckland Cup win and it’s run in the CC (strong through the line) plus adding in the Waller factor… maybe it could be an absolute smokey at nearly 100-1?

On form, Spanish Mission has to be the one I will back, that form behind Stradivarius stands out like a beacon in this

Stradivarius probably starts 1.90 against this lot, not buying into the Incentivise hype first time over 2 miles at that quote. It's a tragedy that Young Werther won't be in the race, thought he was building perfectly

Bossy was right about Pagan's horse, fair dinkum making up the numbers, hasn't fired a shot since winning the Derby
The thing about incentivise is that all his best runs have been at 2400m. There is no reason to think he won’t get the trip and the fact that the gap between him and everything else widens significantly the further he goes it could be all over at the clock tower.

That could happen but you are being asked to take $2.80 to find out, I just know for a fact that UK stayers are far superior to what we dish up and Spanish Mission has form behind the highest rated stayer in the world currently in Subjectivist

Twilight Payment was in that race and finished some 20 lengths behind Spanish Mission, as we know.. Twilight Payment won the cup last year, I don't expect Spanish Mission to beat him again by 20 lengths but just as a reference

Incentivise has had 4 starts at over 2000m and won them about about 32 lengths, can’t see him not getting the trip. I can only see 1,3 or 4 even getting close to him and the rest are just making up the numbers. The 24 is the interesting horse it’s got the profile of a rekindling or Cross Current. The rest don’t have the class to win IMO.

Whatever happens it will surely be a strong staying test so any horses that have big question marks at two miles should have a line put through them

I think incentivise is too good. VE and twilight payment are good place chances and out of the rest maybe persan, great house, floating artist, Spanish mission, explosive Jack etc could run into the first 4.

if incentivise runs the trip right out, he will absolutely wallop this field. If he is vulnerable late, I want to be on something with a wfa turn of foot which is clearly VE. She was given none by that pelican Zarah last year but ran the 2 miles right out.

I had a decent lash on him @ 19’s and some dopey merkin yells out at the 200m’s this things home. Early crowing merkin. I have no doubt he had a dollar EW on it and was still wrapped with his 5 dollar return.

That boils my blood. Almost as bad as when you look up and see that Tony “Brass Ass” Brassell has picked the same thing as yourself. f**k I hate that.

Or some jizz-dribbler yelling out “stop the race!” at the 800m mark. f**k awf (unt!

How is Tralee rose not a million to one. Struggled to be the absolute battler Dr Drill in one of the worst Geelong cups in years.

also I reckon there were some shenanigans with Delphi in the CC. Expecting a different ride and a much improved run.
