Is it just me or is the Golden Eagle severely underrated?

It gets lost a bit with its timing between The Everest, Cox Plate and the Cup but f**k me it’s some race they put on every year.

I don’t think we have enough races for 4 year olds but this one is elite.

It’s drawing quality internationals as well. The Jap Filly is a superstar and it will need to be to win. The French horse is an undefeated Group 1 winner.

It's a cracking race and easily the best of the day, and they don't scratch all their imports which helps. If the Vict@rds have their way the Cup will finish about the level of the Moe Cup.

My God the Golden Eagle is deeper than the Mariana Trench - wow what a race. The Jap & French horse look serious animals and from here I think Joliestar, Stefi, Ostraka & Encap will all run super.
