There is a risk if it has a negative effect on the playing group
I'd say that BA and Co have had a few interviews with him. Sounds like he said all the right things.

The tough part about recruitment is not signing expensive players, but to have a big part of your roster playing better than what they are getting paid. Worth a punt.

For me he has a bad case of the Feleti Mateos about him. Hope to be proven wrong.

Exactly - he is white Feleti

He could provide good impact off bench. He could also do a Sandow vs Gavin Cooper.
Way too much of a gamble IMO.
That said... “Go Bryce! I’ve always claimed he’s the most talented Cartwright to pull on boots”

Worth taking a chance on someone looking to rebuild their career, they are often the ones to work their arse off to prove their worth. Not a big risk if he’s on around the basic pay rate.
Or he could have a few decent games and the press will be all over him. That will lead to a return of his Titans attitude and his manager pushing for an upgrade. Could go anyway. Hope you are right.

I think he is more chance of being a positive influence than a negative. If other players see the lazy merkin ripping in then that alone should inspire them. Then there's the fact that he's likely to take someone's spot in the team if he does.

Huh? I don't know what your basing that on. It is much more likely that a career lazy merkin who doesn't like to tackle and who is also a f**kwitt off the field ,will continue being a f**kwitt lazy merkin rather than suddenly turning into a positive influence on a team.

I didn't say it's more likely. Just that he's unlikely to have much negative effect because he isn't influential enough in that way. But if he pulls his finger out his potential to have a positive effect is much greater.

You said its "more of a chance", isn't that the same as more likely?

In the time that he has been here, BA has shown little tolerance for off-field f**kwits (Sandow, Norman, Edwards, and more I am sure) and for shithouse or lazy on-field defenders, where he has had a better option available. If Cartwright can keep BA happy, then he would have improved the areas everyone is concerned about. If he cant, he wont be kept around.

Cartwright and French, two blokes who squibbed it on the field with their team mates.

Great Culture Bea Arthur is building here, led by the downhill skier Mitch Moses.

What could go wrong??? I thought the idea of recruitment is to make the squad stronger???

Little tolerance for lazy on field defenders???? Taka lasted 7 seasons with Bea, Evans 3. Picking lazy bonehead players is his trademark. The standards of this club and coach aren't as high as the successful clubs like Melbourne and the Roosters.

Like I said "where he has had a better option available."
