I’m waiting for anything official. For the record, there’s already thirty merkins listed as Eels players on the NRL.com signings tracker, however that page isn’t necessarily any more reliable than this thread.

So do the option marks next to Lane and Matto mean they've got options to go beyond 2026? Or that they've taken up the options to stay in 2006 (rather than leave at end of 2025)? Surely they should be only listed until the season that they are (currently) confirmed to end, pre-option if not yet taken up?

But if you're indicating their end date after their options, and hence that they've taken up the options, then you can maybe f**k those punctuations off totally.

If those options are activated, they will become just regular non-option seasons next year. Much like what happened with JAC.

The opposite to the way you've done it in the off-contract thread...

It just indicates the option is there. There’s no reason to assume it will or won’t be activated.

So would it then be more accurate to have optioned players listed with their age (an indicator the option won't be taken up) in the year the committed contract ends AND also listed with the punctuation (and increased age) in the year the option would apply if activated?
