@Poupou Escobar you reckon that because the CBA is yet to be finalised, we have decided to take our time with our Top 30 ? Hence we only have 27 where normally we’d have 29 by now ?

All 17 NRL clubs are filling out their top 30 rosters for 2023. They are able to add players until the first week of March. With CBA talks between the NRL and the RLPA breaking down, there is likely to be plenty of movement remaining before season kick-off on March 2nd.

Maybe if Brad thinks he can get away with using 16 instead of 17 players on match day, he can get away with only filling 28 (now 27) of the required 29 player squad?

Can Brown not just be listed as a half? He's played 99% of his career there and i dont see there being any reason we'd look to change that.

Same applies to Gutho and Fullback at this stage

Because when looking at future years, a player's utility value is worth considering because it shows how a positional change might be possible to support future recruitment/retention.

Not the first time common sense has been put forward... and sadly rejected.

A more sensible cut (for this season) below - Murchie's been used as a middle, so would probably be a "utility" under this system now too.

Yeah, but it currently looks like we have no halves or fullback in 2025 when we actually have one half and a fullback guaranteed.

Well the first line 'Utilities' shows the most versatile players in the team. The fullback and at least one of the halves are likely to be this versatile.
