Pou has put Dunster in as 2025 based on rumour. Someone said after the pub thing he is around for 25 but we don't know on what terms. He might have train n trial (second tier) which would mean we have 7 spots open.

MO appear to be subjective.

The Club in it's right mind surely wouldn't even offer Dunster a ball boy gig if it was solely up to them if he stays or goes.

Yes, maybe if he was already under contract for 22, then an extension for 3 years would be for 23,24, 25. But that doesn't explain the MO.

I don't think they always include options in the press releases. I reckon they aren't always included in the signings tracker on nrl.com either.

Not until March/June (although obviously waiting that long means they don’t have preseason).
Any signing between now and then is either going to be an opportunistic pick up of a decent player being cut (less likely) or cheap pick ups of depth we need (Hawkins supposedly done deal - we need a back up half). Barring those we’ll probably push any other signing back to pressure that player into a cheaper deal.

Losing Moses was one thing, but having to shift Brown to the right to accommodate the left foot/sided Asi and Sanders in the team just exacerbated the situation.
