,,,and a lot of slabs of Crownies.$60 million would buy a lot of pie warmers
I was in there a couple of weeks ago. The work has started - the gaming area is first.Huge news spoke with club official not released the full development plan still under DA approval to be announced in the new year.
So you’re suggesting whilst the football club (who the leagues club is supposed to benefit under the NSW registered clubs act) goes poor, the CEO has put cash aside for the benefit of the club entity and not the football one?The guy I was talking to said that the retired CEO had left behind a very strong bank account.
They will with a few pie Warmers. And slabs of Crownies in each roomSo you’re suggesting whilst the football club (who the leagues club is supposed to benefit under the NSW registered clubs act) goes poor, the CEO has put cash aside for the benefit of the club entity and not the football one?
Surely any slush funds should be used to grow the football part of things??
Only what was told at the Club in early September by the new CEO Craig Epton. To put it in perspective, it was after the last Kogarah game and we simply got chatting at the Club. From that convo, the renovations are definitely a goer and include the auditorium. As for the dollar amount, that seems to change depending on who you talk to. $200 million was the figure on that night.
I’ve spoken to Craig, seems an ok guy. Bumped into Lachlan at the Scot’s merger GM and we chatted after to one of the Directors, Bruce I think.Only what was told at the Club in early September by the new CEO Craig Epton. I posted it in the rumours thread about 7 or 8 weeks ago.
The Rumours Thread
We should buy players who want more success than their current club, who from the Wests Tigers is worth buying?forums.leagueunlimited.com
And I posted in the rumours thread because I have found there is no such thing as reliable in this business. It can change from one day to the next. But this one seems to have legs.
Will all the new apartments have pie warmers supplied and fitted?Apartments are also in the 5 year development plan .
Renovation likely to be put on hold after the gaming area stage is complete?I was in there a couple of weeks ago. The work has started - the gaming area is first.
I’ve heard $60 mill and $80 mill, over 4 years or over 5 years. It includes the Auditorium at long last.

Reminds me of when I was an electrician working in the Industrial sector. Every lunchroom in every factory had a power outlet designated specifically for a pie warmer. You wouldn't get that in any other country. Just one of the many little things that makes me proud to be an Australian. Will all the new apartments have pie warmers supplied and fitted?
What about bar beer fridges fully stacked with
Crownies
I’m told not.Renovation likely to be put on hold after the gaming area stage is complete?

The new catering mob charged for tomato sauce at the last home game against the knights. They also ran out of almost everything- food, beers. Is was woeful service. Another Georges River Council balls up.Plus all the tomato sauce missing from Jubilee on game day

BTW, it is full steam ahead with the refurb. No stopping it yet. All the Directors are quite chuffed. The Leagues Club has also recently amalgamated (absorbed) the Arncliffe Scots Club, opposite the railway station.
While the old ceo (Danny Robinson) left a healthy balance sheet, there was no progress or major improvements to the Leagues Club in 20+ years. The club is light years behind the rest at present all due to his inactivity.
