Only found out yesterday this match will be played while the rest of the ESL teams are playing round 3 of super league '07.

Saints and Huddersfield start their season a week early to accomodate the WCC.

When it starts to interfere with domestic competitions, thats when we really need to look at the validity of this game....(if we didnt already)

I don't think it will matter what side Brisbane field, we will still beat St.Helens. Lockyer always plays well in the UK. Brisbane by 20

Saints’ famous fans include comedians Johnny Vegas and Ricky Tomlinson, and current World Darts Champion Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor.

Ok who are these people? Taylor is that fat twat that plays poker isnt he? There is a world championship of darts?

Some of rugby league’s most famous names have played for St Helens, including Tom van Vollenhoven, Vinty Karalius, Ray French, Alex Murphy, Kel Coslett, Alan Hunte, Paul Newlove and Chris Joynt.
Who??

What a poor comment Phil "The Power" Taylor is an icon in british sport, and in some circles in Australia. I have a pool of mates that love watching Premiership darts, and with a passion, hence me saying your lack of knowledge on this subject tells me you shouldn't comment.

P.S. Maybe an American lifestyle is what you enjoy.

Another two things you dont know about "The Saints" is that the Roosters won the ARL Grand Final in 1975 by 38-0(A record that still stands to this day), and then beat St Helens by 40-2 in the corresponding WCC match the following year. A 38 point difference.

The next time Easts and St Helens met, Easts beat them by 38-0 as well, in 2003.

Quite bizarre isnt it ? :)

Not that bizarre, the Easts v St Helens game from 1976 finished 25-2

As long as our players are fine after the game I really don't mind what happens. Hopefully it is close, but it is nothing more than a glorified trial game!

I've always thought of that as a poor attitude to have, the team is representing the NRL in another country. You should really want them to win, because if they don't even try they are going out of their way to make the NRL comp look poor.

Fortunately, they are coming early and are playing a warm up game, so it looks like the team are going to take it more seriously than you lot.
