SAINTS v WINNERS
A Grand Final preview by This merkin at the Hourly Tardograph.

The Penrith Panthers chasing a historic 5 Grand Final wins in a row come up against the St George Illawarra Dragons in a Grand Final nobody could have predicted.
The Panthers who were undefeated since July are facing their 1st grand final without Nathan Cleary after he broke his leg in their Preliminary Final win over the Melbourne Storm. Ben Hunt who was a late addition to the Panthers in June will face his former club for the 1st time after being 18th man for the Maroons and missing out on a much anticipated matchup against his former club. In an exclusive interview this masthead was able to get a quote from Hunt which will ignite his former clubs fans.
"Yeah I'm sure they (Dragons fans) will be ready to give me a bit of a serve, maybe I can silence them with a field goal to win the game if it gets close." says Ben Hunt with a cheeky Grin.
The Dragons who were favourites to win the wooden spoon at the start of the season face the biggest challenge of their careers after their shock defeat over the Cronulla Sharks in the Preliminary Final in which Nicho Hynes made a crucial error with 2 minutes to go to help the Dragons get into their first Grand Final since 2010.
We tried to get an interview with Shane Flanagan but he declined, however we scoured social media pages to guage the feeling of the club's much maligned fans.
"I hope we **** that **** up." posted one fan.
"At fulltime I hope that ******* whiny **** is on his knees choking with tears in his eyes like Jeff Stryker." writes another.
"If that ******* flog loses the game for them like he has for us many times, it'd be glorious." posted another.
The irony who was not lost on Panthers coach Ivan Cleary had this to say when questioned about Hunt's ability in pressure moments. "Yeah I'm a bit nervous, but aren't we all in these games? We had no other option but to chuck him in there *laughs* so we'll see he goes."
