Not 100% sure if Stapo has been resigned yet but will be majorly dissappointed if he isn't. He has been one player this year who can hold their head high. Played strong and hard all year for the team. Next to Hindy and Mckinnon he has been our best. Please hold on to him. Deserves better from the club and wouldn't be asking a huge price. :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

I think he has exceeded expectations but, at best, he is not a starting 1st grader. Good bench player and we should look to secure him on that basis.

In a fully fit squad, he wouldn't be in 1st grade.

He has ticker though!!

Some of the so called big name players should have a look at this guy. He turns up each and every game. Is developing as a player and could very well be a 1st grade player for the club. No frills but gets the job done. Sign him as a priority. Need depth especially with our run of injuries.

If he hasn't done enough this season to warrant a one-year extension, then I don't know what type of player they're looking for at this club. He wouldn't be on big $$$ anyway...

I agree. Brian Smith obviously bought him for a reason, and if he doesn't try and re-sign him then I don't know what he expected from the man.

Don't think the club could have asked anymore from him. What does the guy have to do. Maybe hes asking too much $$$$. Got to be some reason for it because even BS isn't that stupid.

Why not?

He's been one of the form props of the competition this year.

He's suited to coming off the bench better than starting, although he is fine for a starting prop.

We'd be silly to let him go. He's become a cult hero here.

I mean, who can honestly say they don't like Stapo?

Stapo doesn't have a large skill set! He's pretty tough, but he doesn't really offer much in attack other than running forward!

I think he does what he does well - if we re-sign him I would expect him to play premier league unless we had some big injury problems!

Need a balance though. No frills go forward player whom does the hard yards in the middle of the park. Don't have to worry about him making many mistakes.

Stapo is the bloke you want to come off the bench after twenty minutes to do his job of twenty tackles and ten hitups for the game and do it without any fuss or fanfare. He may not win us a game or play Origin but he isn't the type that will shirk whatever responsibility he is given.

What skills could you want from a prop?

I would want my props to be mobile, tough, aggressive, strong and have low-error rates and a high work-rate.

Let's see how Craig fits the bill:

* Mobility = Check

* Toughness = Check

* Aggression = Check

* Strength = Check

* Low error-rate = Check

* High work-rate= Check

Sure, he doesn't offload or kick, but Tsoulos and Cannings and Cayless offer great offloading skills, and Wagon can kick!

Big plus about him is surely he wouldn't be attracting the huge $$$$ others front rows are.

I think you guys totally overate him.
He only looks godd due to the fact that everyone excluding McKinnon and Hindy are playing so poorly.
I would rather aim a bit higher.
Get rid of Vella to free up the cap and get serious.
