Strange how there is so much emphasis on the audience score of 49% but the critic score of 90% is never mentioned

unless it was the other way around and they would be using the critics score to bash the movie.

The Last Jedi has spluttered and struggled and finally been put out of its misery

Geez, they pulled it from cinemas after TWO WEEKS. Not only was the China pandering a completely ridiculously uninteresting and pointless subplot, it seems to have turned off the target audience.

What a disaster.

I think you're forgetting how bad the prequels actually were.
Even if I didn't like The Last Jedi, I still wouldn't understand how you could come to that conclusion.
You may not like the story, but at least it was competently made. The prequels had neither.

At first I thought Rose was a pointless character.
But thinking about it, I realised that she is the one that shows why someone would join the Rebellion to begin with. While some people see that casino planet as a fantastic place to have fun and win some money, she only sees corruption and the thankless toilers who work hard so that the rich can fill their pockets even more. The last scene shows that this movie was about the Rebellion, and why people choose to fight in it. That little kid meets Rose and can now look up into the sky and hope to one day fight for the downtrodden, just like her.

I guess it makes sense that the people I hear complain about that subplot and her character the most are conservatives. The uproar over "SJW's ruining Star Wars" because of the use of female and non-white actors has been disgraceful though.
